The Daily Star have just regurgitated old news. The boys have signed deals weeks ago that are still to be announced. Harry was never going to go solo and isnt taking the lead in deals either as that will be the management. The Star are simply trying to make their rubbish story about Harry going solo seem like it was a true fact when it never ever was. One Direction as a group are Hot property and that is why they are being sougnt by advertisers.

never thought it was in a bit likely that harry would go solo so soon seeing that they have commitments well into next year... he won't gamble getting the ire of the fans who already have bought tickets for their shows a year in advance, lolz!! besides it's been stated and very clear as well that he needs the other boys as much as they need him and each other...

You're right, and Simon also said in his interview on Radio 4 that he considered packing in the show, because he didn't think there was any point going on if the show was only producing 1 single artists, bar Leona. So yes, 1D's success has given the show a new lease of life.

The UK version is getting a little tired now and maybe there isn't the same level of commitment to that as there once was - but one thing for certain is that 1D won't have the slightest influence on any decision they make along those lines!

I reckon they might have had an impact on their decision as they are already using 1D to heavily promote X Factor USA. After seeing the global success of 1D they really want to replicate that by creating a US version of them.

It cuts both ways and it also stands to reason they will use everything they can to promote both the show and 1D...

But you don't invest the sort of money they have if you are considering pulling the plug and Simon will be answerable any backers. It's big business and they don't make decisions on a whim.
