A supporting thread for Willie Carson

I just thought a fan thread for the lovely Willie Carson was way overdue! He's been such a good sport in the camp, even though most of his contestants (and probably the public) don't have a clue who he is. Well, not only is he a lovely, affable chap, he's one of our most accomplished jockeys in horse racing and an OBE. Love him so much. He's been great so far. Good luck, old chap

At first I was a little put off about his need to win, but he's really grown on me. He seems like a really nice guy with a lot of common sense - and it seems he boosts Dec's self confidence as well.

Don't mind Willie at all, I have the greatest respect for anyone who can sit on half a ton of muscle and gallop at full pace.

Willie Carson is a very funny man but obviously he is not going to be shown as much as the chosen won and he reminds me of the scenario with Jimmy White, it is all pantomime and has been since the likes when Pasquela won it IMO of course. That was when reality got unreal IMO.. staged

He may be appear a silly jokey old guy but of course as we've seen a little already, he is highly competitive and has been very successful.
You can forgive him for thinking that he should have a higher pecking order than say Mark or the models (?) or a few others

If rattled i think he will be good viewing

I didn't like him at first, but I am really warming to him now! He seems a genuine sort, and he stands up to the Cotton Kid, which is a plus in my book!

Would anyone know that he's there? He simply merges into the background.

I remember when I was about seven years old at Newbury racecourse and my sister and I ran to the edge of the racecourse to watch the horses come out onto the track. Willie rode past us and we both shouted out, "Go on Willie!" and he said, "Hello" in his Scottish accent.

I'm now in my thirties and I remember it like it was only yesterday. Great chap. I hope he does well.

He's like a little old woman. Correction: a little invisible old woman.

I hope he doesn't fly under the radar when they're being eliminated. He does ****all!

He's set to be first out if his team don't get immunity.
