There are loads of songs that have never gotten to number one that are now iconic, and there are plenty of songs that have gotten to number one that people barely remember.
Aretha Franklin's Think is an iconic song, it's not about chart position, and quite frankly, Tulisa showed her ignorance. It's like any musician claiming they've never heard of Smokey Robinson's Tracks of My Tears just because it didn't get to number one in the charts.
