I know what you mean and I posted on another thread that I thought that sob story was innapropriate but I am just commenting solely on her performance, you can't deny that, she was brilliant.

Then why couldnt they have left the sob story out??That story will have won people over whether she murdered the song, let vocals speak for themselves not use a manipulative back story.
