Or the singer in the Overs that keeps mentioning his recently dead wife.

Firstly - on the Misha thing, it's obvious that someone fears she's going out so they have plugged in the sympathy vote as much as they possibly could. As someone else said, there's no way if Misha/Kelly actually were having a conversation for their own benefit they'd let a camera in, let alone put on the performance they did. Also...

Actually, just watching back the VT from that week - it was balanced 70:30 upbeat/downbeat. Most of it focused on her new fan attention rather than her grandfather. However, Louis has been on repeat with his "celtic soul" comments ever since then!

Well suit yourselves. If being cynical is what floats your boats then. Fair enough. I just don't think you should live your lives reading meaning and speculating about things that you are not clear about. It is a horrible horrible and classless thing to do.

Im just wondering now we know kitty comes on here if Misha also does come on here could we classed a lot of the negtaive posts as online bullying.

IF folks think the VT etc. Is So overated and showing favouristism to Misha....blame the prooducers, not Misha....Misha has a lot to deal with(onstage as well as back stage) and she has be strong and bounce back...no way should she have to read the verbal onslaught/borderline bullying she is getting on forums like this...its. Shoiuld be all about the performance on the night.... She hasn't done anything wrong to ANYONE on here and her 'victims' haven't stepped forward for an apology either!!

I really liked Misha at first but there, for me, have been just too many occasions where she referred to her family background and it has turned me off.

I have no doubt her history has had a huge impact on her; it has just felt it has been rammed down our throats too much & that her story is being 'used' to win over voters.

The lack of subtlety is what has marked her out from the start & I fast forwarded through the VT tonight (again). So the rallying call for Manchester voters has gone unheeded here.

She could of easily said 'I don't want this filmed'.

If its on TV its not real.

This makes no sense at all. What is wrong with it being on TV? When Misha came for her audition, she came with her family.. We knew her story and this is a latest part of it.

Anyway I feel strongly about all this, only because I had seen Misha busk several times in Manchester (always with a smile on her face) and know how much she wants this. This is someone who has worked hard to get to this stage and to see some mindless people try and undermine her with careless and unsubstantiated whispers does break my heart. Judge her on her talent please

I think the people who need to feel ashamed of themselves are the ones making out that the forum have been saying nasty things about Misha when the criticism tonight was aimed more at the show itself creating the sob story. That's just such a petty cheap shot.

They need to to feel ashamed of themselves because they are being disingenuous and being as exploitative as the show itself was in using emotional blackmail in order to fight some forum battle.
It's not really much to do with any real sense of empathy if it's about trying to take the moral high ground in order to win some forum battle in order to support a favourite act.

I think it's a cheap shot when I know that most people squared their criticism quite directly at the show production. To try and pretend that those people were attacking Misha is pretty low.

I don't want to hear about some tittle tattle about personal life stories. That's for some other show. So I don't appreciate the guilt trip tactics. Take them somewhere else please.

Stop the hate?
Give me a break.

I don't hate Misha at all. I just don't appreciate the nonsense we witnessed tonight.

I generally hate all that crying bullsh!t. During Misha's VT tonight I had to put a basin under the telly or me floors would've been ruined! It's so obvious that they were going for the sympathy vote!

This people all live their lives in public now and anything personal to them tends to become public anyway.

Misha reacted in an emotional way as it has been a tough week for her. She has been called a bully. ( How much can one person take) Yet her tears is being interpreted as crocodile tears. It would be nice sometimes for people to be less cynical.

How do you think she would feel if she came here and read some of the horrible comments you guys make. When someone gets emotional like that, it is better to take a step back and offer a little sympathy or support. (This comes in various ways by the way)

Just saying.”

The irony s that most of the people on DS who call Misha a bully and a horrible person are no different themselves. The only difference is, there's nobody shining a light on their messed up personalities.

Well the show and even the contestants shouldn't put it out there in the public domain and thus trivialize it in the process of gaining support in a popularity contest.

You can't subscribe to a circus and use your personal life details as a commodity whilst at the same time expecting positive feedback as an unquestionable right.
Due to it being a public circus there's a good chance things will get corrupted and messy.

I'm not just restricting this to The X Factor either. In the media in general there's just far too much peddling of grief porn where personal life details are commodified and turned into material assets that devalue and undermine what they are.

The only reason these types of stories are used in magazines and on shows like The X Factor is for them to be exploited and used as a means to try to control the viewer or reader in some way.

It's tawdry and it's tacky, and people have every right to find it distasteful.

If what goes on behind the scenes is meant to be disregarded when considering the acts' talent, why are they drawing attention to her personal life now? When it was her attitude towards the other contestants we were told to base our opinions on her vocals only. Also the girl has a really poor personality. When she opens her mouth she sounds like a four year old and shows no normal confidence for a person her age. People complain about Janet but at least she's sweet and unassuming whereas Misha is trying way too hard to come across as 'nice' and softer - when it's just nonsense. When she speaks all I hear is, reading between the lines: "I'm so great, no-one else is as good as me." Kelly is doing her no favours at all -- we all have problems - DEAL with it.

I do not speak for any other posters here, but ever since it was mentioned on ITV this week that emergency meetings had been held with Kelly & Misha re her second trip to the sing off it was clear that 'something' would happen.

I do actually think TPTB let Misha down with this, it is an intensely private issue that they filmed. I just wish that they would let those that are good simply shine (& I speak as someone who enthusiastically voted for Matt last year, but winced at a couple of his VTs)

Cut the girl some slack fgs!

I don't particularly like her but she doesn't deserve the vitriol spewed at her on here, what if she came on like Kitty and read it?

She lost her mother at an early age fcol.

No she couldn't. She's not some mega-star like JLo who can call the shots. It will be in her contract that she agrees that they will film whatever they like, that it will be edited in a certain way and that ITV/Syco/TT has all rights to use it in perpetuity throughout the universe. I deal with broadcast contracts and rights issues everyday as part of my job.

I get what you're saying. But I myself have a hard time feeling sorry for her when she has admitted bullying people in the past. Having been bullied myself for years I cannot wish her any success or feel that she is deserving of any sympathy - not this soon after deliberately causing hurt to other people for years.

What happened in her life is hardly a hardship, I have been through and seen others go through much worse and never have I, or anyone I've seen, turned to bullying because of it. She grew up loved and cared for, she never knew her mother so how could she have missed her - her aunt was her mother.

But besides that, I really doubt her mum got in contact with her this week. If it happened at all, it probably happened at the start of the show when she saw her daughter on tv. They are using this as a sob story because they are desperate to keep her in the competition.

I was bullied badly at school, but I am friends with some of those guys now. I was taught to forgive and forget. I guess everyone is different. Life is too short to hold on to the past is the way I see things Misha has learnt from her mistakes. She has apologised for her past and I think she should be allowed to get on with her life.

Everyone has a skeleton in their cupboard and as the bible says ''Ye without sin should cast the first stone''. We make mistakes in life and it is how we come back from it is what matters.

Misha's mum gave an interview last week before she even spoke to her daughter. Obviously it is easy to say it is all because of the sudden fame her daughter has now got. I just hope she is given a chance and not get judged so harshly

What I have noticed as per most DS posts is that female acts hate far outweigh the male acts hate by a wide margin.
