I fancy watching some classic Strictly moments just to remind myself of why I love the show.

I've just done Austins jive and Chris's charleston on YouTube. Any other recommendations?

I didn't see the Ramps series. That AT was really good.

I loved Zoe and Ian's tango, for me its one of the best dances ever but I can't find it on Youtube anymore apart from dodgy camera work from people who went to see the tour.

Loved Kara Tointon - the best dancer Strictly has ever produced. What an amazing dancer. Eat your heart out Alesha Dixon - you could never be as good as Kara. Strictly lost most of its cred when they appointed Dixon as a judge. Every time she opens her mouth a load of trite cliches comes out of it. At least Kara would know what she is talking about. Dixon was abysmal tonight but, to be fair, she is rubbish every time she appears but she looks good and that is what the Producer wants - eye candy.

Zoe and Ian's tango are not on youtube. I also would love their showdance and Mark and Karen's viennesse waltz. They were brilliant.

Kara would be no better as a judge and she was certainly no better as a dancer. People got so tied up with the romance between her and Artem they've rewritten history.

It was indeed a mediocre night. Looking back at previous series, and taking week 8 as standard, we could have had:

Series 5: Alesha & Matt's cha-cha-cha; Matt & Flavia's salsa; Gethin & Camilla's quickstep - all very good dances.

Series 6: Tom & Camilla's quickstep; Cherie & James's waltz; Rachel & Vincent's AS; Lisa & Brendan's VW - spoiled for choice!

Series 7: Ali & Brian's VW (scored 40); Ricky & Natalie's tango; Jade & Ian's jive (well, I liked it); Chris & Ola's foxtrot.

Series 8: Kara & Artem's AS; Matt & Aliona's samba; Pamela & James's AS.

What could we say about week 8 of series 9? :yawn:

Sadly most of Colin's best dances were taken off Youtube otherwise I'd be watching those.

I do watch a lot of Ricky and Natalie's dances along with Rachel and Vincent. Scott and Natalie's jive also gets a lot of views from me.
