Quick question.

Has anyone actually seen Ms Soloman eat any of the food Iceland are trying to push during these ads?

I love Stacey, but I do notice that she doesn't get to say anything on camera during these ads, perhaps it's for the best!

I don't know why people are always slagging off Iceland's food, some of that stuff looks nice.

Yes, think it looks nice too. In fact it looks so nice that about every 6 months I wander into Iceland and buy some. Then I remember why I haven't since the last time. The pictures on the packets look sooooo good. I particularly liked the kebabs...mouth watering....until see inside packet and they are half the size and veggie son refuses to eat them as they are horrible.

Everything I see and hear about on those Iceland adverts makes me want to heave. In particular the shiny underdone duck skewers - the thought of the look, the smell and the texture is real barf material.

We used to buy their party packs of chinese and indian snacks many years ago and they were fab. However now it's all made down to a price and my OH appeared a few Christmases ago with a box for £5. Like Norfolk Poppy we opened it up and first of all disappointed and then tried it .... Never, ever again.

I am sick to death of them and also seeing Stacey Soloman smiling gurning and dancing ... she cannot be trusted to say anything with her voice. Hate the ads and god knows what the food is like !

Christopher Biggins used to do those ads until he announced on TV that he'd never eat the stuff as it tastes awful. Oddly enough, he seemed to stop doing the ads shortly after that

For some unknown reason, my brain immediately replaced Stacey's name with Jennifer's - hmmmm. I think I should do a bit of casting for the next trial

It does seem odd to me that any food company would sponser a show where the contestants eat all kinds of crap. There's a psychological association there that they've really not figured out.

Given that so many people seem to think Iceland's food is disgusting, perhaps the thinking is that after you've watched a bush tucker trial anything looks delicious.

I'm sure Stacy did eat something on one of the adverts last year. And the song is Martin Solveig - Ready 2 Go (Hardwell Remix)

Frozen supermarket food costings; (pretty much the same for all of them except Aldi & Lidl who make 30% profit)
40% profit
15% packaging
20% transport
25% ingredients
I worked in food manufacturing for years and it's revolting what goes into a lot of food in order to make the price point!

Really, really need a vomit smiley for Iceland food

Funny you should say that We don't live near an Iceland, but last year Mr B & I found ourselves near one and bought a load of stuff that looked really good. Once we got it home and tried it, we agreed that just about all of it was inedible - and on reading the ingredients properly we were shocked by the level of strange additives. When the ads are on we've agreed that they serve as a reminder never to shop there again,

"Party like a celebrity" Well I suppose it is akin to scoffing a wallaby's scrotum.

No! More to the point is it wrong that I find her strangely attractive - or maybe I am just hungry.
