Did anyone else notice how Lorraine was....

......sucking up to Anthony tonight? It now makes more sense why she was so short with Fatima the other night after Fatima and Anthony had words.

Tonight when others, (could have been Pat) were trying to say that Anthony shouldnt take the cooking so much to heart and perhaps people should look after themselves, she was holding her hand up and shaking her head, trying to quiet them down.

Can't understand for the life of me why she is so protective over Anthony. He is more than capable of being nasty on his own behalf.

Well we're only seeing snippets and I think she genuinely concerned about his stress levels regarding the cooking , especially when that horrid Stephanie is winding up , possibly on purpose.

Wow! How to see things differently!

For sucking up read caring. She's a nice person. Why would you misread that?

She stood up for herself against Fatima who was trying to include everyone in her argument against Mark not Anthony.

I can't say I actually noticed it but Lorraine does seem to be the type that likes to take care of people. I know Stephanie has 'taken' the title of camp mother but, imo, Lorraine is way more natural in that role.

This is exactly how I saw it too. She was trying to stop a bad situation becoming worse.

I completely agree with this! But she should really back off and stop treading so carefully around Antony, as he is surely able to fight his own corner! Lorraine is coming across to me as a very lovely caring person, but I would hate to see her alienate herself from the others in the name of "protecting" Antony, because I somehow doubt she will be thanked for it in the long run! Antony is in there to win, not make friends and be lovely!

I dont think I am misreading it, when Antony was bitching and moaning about Fatima, she was all over him, then last night when Pat was just telling him to let others cook if it was bothering him that much, she held her hand up to Pat and was shaking her head at him as if he was saying some terrible thing.
Fgs, Anthony is a grown man with a very sharp nasty tongue, more than capable of standing up for himself, Lorraine needs to realise that, she's not his mom, and she only met him a few days ago. Why this overprotective behaviour towards him?

Rubbish. Lorraine or Sinitta to win.

Lorraine is such a lovely lady who has been kind to everyone. I hate that Antony forgot to pass her her hairbrush but I am sure he didn't do it on purpose.
Poor Lorraine, she has finally cracked. Her hair is her trademark and she probably felt stripped of her diginity not being able to brush it through.

I didn't notice any of this.

Lorraine seems very likeable to me and appears to be friendly with most of them. Don't know where you get the overprotective bit from.

I think she's basically a nice person who wants to avoid problems with Anthony rather than confront them (like Pat).

Suspect she also knows of all of them in there Anthony is the one with the biggest capacity to hold grudges/bitch/stir and ensure there is ongoing tension between people.

I said the self same thing to my husband that she will be upset because of hair. She's always had beautiful hair and like you say it's part of her trademark.

I like Lorraine

I really like Lorraine ,she comes over as a very caring person ,She probably seems to side with Anthony more as i should imagine she knows him the most out of the rest ,due to both being in the soaps so going to the same kind of Showbiz parties after Awards nights ,peoples Leaving dos etc when she was in Emmerdale

She's nice and doing ok so far, but she needs to get doing stuff....She's done no trials or treasure chests yet, has she?

Who chooses who does the treasure chests anyway?

This.
And she probably doesn't see the Anthony that we see either. Her perspective of him was somemone stressed by the cooking situation but ours is a different view of just that.

Yes, I totally agree - I find her behaviour quite weird all round. She possibly sees Anthony as one of the stronger candidates & is trying to align herself with him. Or is she just a hopeless 'luvvy'?
The hissy fit over the hair brush was also bizarre.
She strikes me as someone quite OCD/close to the edge. Probably a contraversial view, but she reminds me of a witch - I don't warm to her at all.

Started this thread a couple of days ago, but have resurrected it because once again tonight we saw Anthony throwing another hissy fit over the cooking, Fatima trying to calm him down, and there was Lorraine having a go at Fatima for doing so.

What the hell is it with Lorraine and her constant mothering and protecting of that awful Anthony, no one can say anything to him, least of all Fatima?

Lorraine is starting to get on my nerves now.

I'm sick of them all actually. Lorraine was my favourite and even she is starting to get on my nerves with the Anthony Cotton mother hen scenario

Yeah I have gone off Lorraine slowly since the show started.

Another thing that annoyed me was the incident where she had a go at Fatima for moving around on the bed, it was totally unnecessary.

I noticed that too. She just seems to look for any excuse to have a go at Fatima.
Perhaps that the reason she is always taking sides with Anthony against her?
