Anyone else sick of Marcus Mars' "own style" baloney??
Just cos Bruno Mars sung a (very odd) song wearing a red suit does not suddenly make dressing like one of the geeky guys in Grease cool.
What the hell has happened here? How can a good looking guy with a good voice and charisma suddenly make himself so dated and irrelevant?? |

What really grates me is how Gary thinks his acts should have a style and find a niche, but if any other acts do that (Janet and Lil Mix) he shouts them down.

Marcus is no longer the top fan favourite, you can relax on the threads now.

No one's complained of Craig and Misha sticking to their comfort zones [most of the time] in comparison... |

Amen. Marcus' "own style" is just a third rate imitation of Bruno Mars and the other wave of retro artists around at the moment.
Marcus has an average to good voice, if a little on the thin side and nothing more. No star quality. Too bland, too generic and dull. He is in fact just mediocre enough to win the competition. But for once it would be nice if someone other than a plain male singer won this show. That is if the public can get over their obsession with typical boy singers. It's like America and WGWGs. |

Poor man's Jackie Wilson (I best send a PM to Tulisa if she is reading this because she wont know who I mean).
Bruno Marr's lite. etc etc. I liked him at first, now just a bore. They usually want a winner who reflects a big star, so we have had, Mariah lite, Timberlake lite, Beyonce light,Buble lite and Cowell did say they wanted to find the next Lady Gaga last year |

It's the second time in 3 weeks he has done Jackie Wilson now.
Hypocrite Barlow would be tearing into Janet, Amelia or Little Mix if they did that. |

I agree. Marcus is good but he gives exactly the same performance every week. Nothing wrong with that if you like it but a whole album or show of Marcus? Not for me thanks.

He's like a mix of Lou Bega, Jackie Collins and air crew of Malaysian Airlines. He had potential, now he's just a blur in the x-factor machine.
![]() ![]() I hope you mean Jackie Wilson.Quote:

He's just trading on the majority of hus audience not being old enough to remember the acts he is ripping off and the knowledge that this generation are generally the most ignorant ever of music before their time. I wouldn't mind but he's not a very good singer live and he's an awkward performer. Definitely someone who should stick to writing and give his songs to someone who can sing them. |

The problem is now he has found an image he likes he has allowed himself to become comfortable. A good performer should never allow themselves to be comfortable.
