Maybe it was because there were only 6 left and it was padded out so much without ads 35-40 mins to watch.

The theme was dire and the choice of songs were pretty poor.

Agree. Johnny and Kitty may well have been set up as "comic relief", but without their personalities the show is boring, as the younger contestants are pretty dull.

It's a shame that the overs are never really considered contenders. Johnny had a unique voice but was hampered by dodgy song choice/styling (apart from Halloween week), and Kitty may be been mad as a box of frogs but vocally she nailed it mostly (esp, Live and Let Die).

Janet and Craig as a dull as ditchwater, Little Mix are improving and have potential but don't seem to have much to say. Misha B unfortunately for her just doesn't connect, Ameila is too stage-school, and Marcus's performances while entertaining are a bit showbiz.

Mind you, at least the show isn't as plodding as the US version which seems quite dated in comparison.

Agreed. I think musically last night was the best of the series and I'm really happy to have got rid of all the in-your-face loud-mouthed wannabees put there to supposedly entertain us for the first few weeks.

I found it difficult to get through the show this morning, despite having the FF on hand.

There were no fights. The judges were playing nice.

I thought it was the best show in a long time.
Everyone was good and most seemed to really up their game. It has really opened the competition up.

Put it this way ..I watched the whole show in 15 mins ...Fast forwarding most ..The only time ever I just have no Interest in it..Gary and Kelly don't like ...and the entertainment has gone .

The only thing that gets me about results show is we get Artists on.
My opinion of course there are still many who still love the show.

I dont think there was anything wrong with the theme there are plenty of good movie songs. It is more thqat most of the singers are so poor they could not manage a big movie song. Kelly gave Misha a big whitney song but Misha fell flat on her face with it yet Amelia who could have delivered on a song like that got a poor pretty much unknown song

It didn't seem to have that, "oomph." I also found having one 2-3 minute performance every 15 minutes annoying. It would've taken nearly 15 minutes for them all to perform their songs, and that's what most people are interested in - not the "padding," as it's called, and certainly not those ever-frequent adverts.

If Kitty and Johnny were both still in it, it would be more exciting, for me. They're not bad singers, but are good performers. They're entertaining and enjoyable, whether singing ballads or uptempo numbers. The likes of Janet and Craig just are so dull, boring and predictable, they don't interest me, although they are good singers. They don't hold my interest. The others are becoming predictable also. The sob story with Mischa was also irritating. I didn't necessarily care for it (I know, I'm horrible), all I wanted was for her to perform her darn song. Marcus is becoming, "samey," and as for Amelia, I do like her, but, I didn't like her singing that song.
