Just came back off holiday last night so didn't see SCD last night. Have recorded it but will tonights results show be from Wembley or was it recorded back in the studio later on?

The results show isn't live it was recorded last night after the main show, They wouldn't go back to Wembley two nights in a row. Can't understand why they dont show the results later on Saturday night. Strange.

It's because of The X Factor. Last night, they'd have been OK to run at 9.30 - but most weeks earlier in the run the results show would clash entirely with XF, costing it an awful lot of viewers. They tried to make it work on a Saturday a few years ago with the all-in-one show - but that just wound up being far too long and tiresome.

Plus, the results show still pulls excellent viewing figures (level, or sometimes ahead of Saturday's performance show) despite being recorded. The ideal scenario would be to run Sunday's results live - but that would cost more money, demand more from the celebrities and also require dumping Len and Bruno from the panel (because of their US commitments).

In the opening sequence, Russell was supposed to be Paul McCartney, I thought he looked more like Moe of "The Three Stooges"
But then given what he was expected to do each week, for his final show this seemed rather apt.
