Antares is a studio technique (VST plugin) so is usually used post production unless it is being used as a standalone effect - Cher. There was a ho, hah was about the use of it at the audition stage - I think last year - which was pre-recorded.

Thought I need to say this as it would be difficult to use it in a live setting as a pitch corrector. A lot of big artists, Mariah, Beyonce and so on pre-record live performances and mime to them which means they can use pitch correction.

Probably best not to keep accusing the contestants of using it particularly as most of them are rarely pitch perfect throughout.
