The X Factor - time for a break?

So there's been a lot of talk this year that The X Factor has gone downhill and that it's not up to much. I have to say I agree. This year more than ever there has been more talk about what goes on behind the scenes with contestants than there has been about the actual singing competition and talent.

So I'm wondering - Should they take a two year break from the show? As in, not have The X Factor return in 2012, or 2013 but re-launch it in 2014. The re-launch will attract attention again because people will have missed it and hopefully the re-launch can be all about focusing on the talent and the music.

In the meantime, Syco can work on looking after their acts so far. Syco are a really incompetent label and I believe it's because every year the next "Big popstar" is born from the X Factor, so previous acts already signed get forgotten about.
Syco need to start focusing on their superstars like Leona Lewis, Will Young, Rebecca Ferguson, One Direction, Olly Murs etc.

What does everyone think? Time for a break?

Talking a break just as The Voice is starting up would be silly, as its just going to be seen as it's replacement and people will be more interested in that than The X Factor in 2014.

TXF needs the familiarity of a returning judge, Simon/Chery/Dannii. Too much changed too quickly.

Time for it to go I think. It has ran it's course.
There are that many twists and dramas nowadays it is more like big brother than a talent contest.
