We've all seen the news that Peter Dickson wasn't going to open last nights show, yet this turned out not to be the case as the show opened with his usual shouting tones.

It since turns out, however, that he threatened to quit the X Factor when another voiceover artist was brought in for the opening sequence.



What do we think then? Was he right to complain or was he being a bit petty, stamping his feet?

Makes sense why I heard another voice then.. it was horrid, guess they wanted the movie theme really come to life.

I don't see his issue though if he's still getting payed..

A bit petty since he only got where he is by doing a passable impression of Patrick Allen.

They have a ready made replacement in Johnny if he does quit..

I heard it was because they demanded he say Tulisa's full name.

Took him 5 days to crack "Too Lee Sa Con Tos Tav Los!"

I find his voice pompous and overbearing - I suppose in that way he is setting the tone for the whole show

Even if he did quit, they could surely find someone else able to do an almost identical voice? People wouldn't even notice.

He's been living off Patrick Allen's voice for years. Let him quit - he's overrated anyway.
