Having said that, the pleading for votes has bordered on the desperate and that, in spite of perfectly good performances, is generally a sure sign that the votes are not great for them.

Bottom line: they're a group and a group will not win this competition.

I think they'll probably limp into the final, with heavy support from producers and after being saved in at least one sing off.

yes, little mix have a huge fanbase and will pick up votes from floating voters. Also, the producers will want Tulisa with an act for the final so I'd say Little Mix are the only dead certain act for the final.

Marcus will win. I'm not particularly bothered but I think he will, unless the producers pull out all the stops to do him in. I always felt he would win easily given a fair shake but up until last night, he never looked like getting that. With Craig thrown to the wolves and Marcus pimped, it looks like they're either warming to the idea or accepting that they wont be able to stop him - as they did with Matt last year.
