I don't see how coming in at #3 behind RIHANNA and Flo Rida is a disaster

the fact that it got to number 3 speaks volumes about their fan base because it really was a weak single

Well done number 3 is great

Wonders if Matt and Cher fans would like to club together with 1D fans to hire a hit man for Rhianna ”

Might be an idea

it is testament to her power that she was number 1 for the week Matt released on 7 Oct and she held off 1D 6 weeks later.

I'll be very interested to see how her album sells compared to Coldplay etc

No not overall, Fastest selling single of 2011 which means single Biggest FIRST week sales.

They are nowhere the overall biggest.

Year to Date Top 5:

1. Adele - Someone Like You 1.18 million
2. Jessie J - Price Tag 945,000
3. LMFAO - Party Rock Anthem 945,000
4. Pitbull - Give Me Everything - 846,000
5. Maroon 5 - Moves Like Jagger 841,000

22. One Direction - What Makes You beautiful 416,800
So still a big seller but not in the top bracket of sellers. Interesting Moves Like Jagger has sold double the amount of WMYB despite it being beaten to number 1. That song has shown the ultimate longevity - back up to 7 this week

Not surprising, their fan base will hopefully grow up quick.

Actually surprised and happy it has sold that much.

It was released much later than the others though, so you need to give it time. It's still doing very well in the charts and moving up steadily. One of the few singles that has hung about, even though its not in the Top 20.
Moves like Jagger is a steady seller, not a fast seller, hence the reason it has failed to reach number 1. But I'm sure it will still hang in there for a few more weeks to come.

Not good for them.

Not good for Cher Lloyd either - her second single is doing much like the first and bombing after 2 weeks and the album is doing likewise.

I think it proves there is little market for her in the UK let alone the US and that these acts offer nothing new.

Nearly a million people have bought Party Rock Anthem?!!

Shitting hell that's depressing.

Another music forum I go on say that Cher and 1D's demograph are the worst offenders for illegal downloading. I was surprised to see Jessie J so low down the charts too. This could be a factor in them not getting number one but I do agree this song isn't a patch on WMYB

I certainly wouldn't write off any of last year's X factor acts for a very long time.yet.
