Oh dear, I'm a Strictly addict but this weekend has been dire for me. Never have I said that about a Strictly weekend before. Just my opinion of course, but I know that hundreds agree that the live show was dreadful on TV, even if it allegedly was great if you were actually there. The sound was awful, the arena was far too big and the dances were just mediocre, apart from Chelsee and Alex. Loads of galloping around and running up steps, but not much else. Sadly 10 million of us were NOT there, and the TV experience was grim. The results show had me grabbing the headache pills again with the flashing lights and the racket !! Could hardly hear Tess at times. Next week I'd like to see proper dances, not show dances, to appropriate music, with the dancers wearing the gorgeous dresses they used to. Whoever thought the quickstep should be danced in a short dress, and designed what poor Holly was wearing on Saturday, owes her a very beautiful dress next time ! To ask her to dance the quickstep in that 'dress', with its strange animal print bits, was an insult to her. Not that it was a proper quickstep.
All in all, a TV disaaarrrster darling.
