The late John Peel was a serious DJ

he definately was.
i saw Pat Sharpe on "The Wright Stuff" and he got pulled up by Matthew a couple of times, i thought he came across miserable and arrogant then, not a very likeable character imo.

Apologies if he did ....could have used a bit of common sense though when he saw how she reacted :

Matthrew Wright and his "Foxy Knoxy, WOULD YA?" ways has no right to pull anyone up.

Agree, Matthew Wright is only marginally less annoying than his namesake Mark

I guess when you're known more for your hair than what you did, it must get to you sometimes. Fun House was great as a child, and he brought lots of happy moments to so many children.

This seems like an attempt at ruining that image

Everytime he appears on screen my missus shouts "dirty old letch!"
I hope she's directing it at him and not me anyway!

Agree - I have never heard of him but I have grown to dislike him because he is a little creepy and not quite sincere - I think younger viewers will vote him out

Yep , that is Pat Sharpe ...right there !

I'd get him out the same night as Stephanie ... they deserve each other.

Yeah the second time round with this whole Tarzan and Jane thing did make me think, hmmmm, oh dear! The Uncle thing I thought was just sort of jokey sort of harmless (though slightly pervy) humour from him that was no different to some other men that exist out there but don't mean harm from it. But the Tarzan thing was kind of an extra view that he's abit of a one track mind when it comes to younger women (or maybe just in this case a singular ticking thought while in the jungle because there is nothing else much for him to focus on). Either way, will see if more comments like the Tarzan and Jane one come up because he kind of needs to reduce them asap.

Wasn't the Tarzan comment made in the Bush Telepgraph?

If so it was almost certainly said in response to a question he was asked...a question one might argue was set up to get a quote that fit with the editorial slant of Pat for that day.

"Honest" because you can read his mind?

Of "honest" because you believe no one would pretend to be such a total ****head?

He just can't accept people for how they are unless they are how he wants them to be.

Very controlling and would piss me right off
