Hmmm - I reckon you would make one batch of pies and then it would find its way into the cupboard where you keep your sandwich toaster, rice cooker, ice-cream maker, soda stream, fondue set....

I can't see the point of it.

You still have to make the pastry and filling, which is the work in making a pie.

After that all you need is a pie dish and oven. I'm sure the pie dish will be easier to clean (ie throw in dishwasher ! ) that an electric pie maker too.

Maybe if you were living somewhere without an oven - but then I would go for something more flexible like one of those mini-oven/grills or a microwave,

Agree with the last poster. Cooking a pie is the easiest part of the process. This thing doesn't help you make the pastry or the filling. The only advantage I can see is that it probably uses far less power than an oven and so saves on the utility bills a few pence.
