Holly definitely needs the votes next week.....

Once I found out the result last night (I was on the spoiler thread) I did a little bit of maths and this is what has been worked out:

Provided that none of the top 4 on the leaderboard (ie Alex, Chelsee, Harry or Jason) came rock bottom in the phone vote:

* Robbie had to score at least 3 points from the phone vote to avoid the bottom 2, and Anita had to score at least 2.

* It is very possible that one of Robbie/Anita and Holly were tied on overall points, but due to Holly scoring less in the phone vote, she was in the bottom 2.

* Russell could only have got a maximum of 3 points from the phone vote, and Holly could only have got 1 or 2 points.

If Holly is in the dangerous mid-table position next week, she will definitely need the votes to get through. If she does get through then I think Anita needs to be worried.

It's been confirmed that Robbie will be doing the Samba - he could well be bottom of the leaderboard but he has been in dangerous positions before and I think the British public will keep him in. People generally seem to be warming to him, and I think he'll be doing well in the phone votes.

Alex does seem to be improving (although she was overmarked on Saturday) - I think she'll get a Latin next, which considering she has Salsa, Samba and Charleston left, could be difficult for her, although she did well with the Jive and I think her best Latin option would be the Charleston. If she gets a Ballroom then it will be Waltz, American Smooth or Argentine Tango (I think) - I think the AT can be ruled out, no-one has done an AT straight after a Tango. American Smooth would be a good one for her as her Foxtrot was quite good. I think providing she doesn't get really overmarked, she'll be getting the votes in as she seems generally well-liked, it's just James who might cost her.

Anita might need a bad week in order to get through - she was in the bottom 2 with an Argentine Tango that scored 33 out of 40, even Holly didn't match that this weekend (she got 31). I hope she gets a Ballroom and I think the Viennese Waltz would be the best one for her, nice and slow with not much if any fast footwork for her.

Holly needs something like the Argentine Tango or Charleston - something with a bit of character that Artem can create some great choreography for. I'm not a big fan of either of them (don't have much of an opinion in all honesty) but she is consistent if nothing else, she just can't get up there at the moment. She does deserve to stay over 2 or 3 of the others but she needs to raise her game this week and I think it will depend on what dance she has as to whether she can do it.

Sorry for the VERY long ramble

I think the problem with Holly is that she is very laid back, and this comes across as she dosen't care about dancing, or if she goes.in contrast Anita seems desperate to stay and therefore was saved this week, not sure it will work next week.As for Holly, it depends on how well she dances, hopefully training with just Artem will improve their dance alot.

I actually think Russell got the lowest votes this week. TBH

I think he got just the 1 point.

Holly probably got the 2 point and Anita / Robbie 3 points.

Holly's got several things working against her. Thats leaving aside the dancing. There's almost certainly a big hunk vote going on this series and Chelsee may be soaking up a lot of the votes of those prepared to vote for a female. If there isn't there's an awful lot of effort and exposure going into getting that vote for no reason. Jason comes with a big fanbase of people from similar groups to those who vote on the show. Its big enough to support a musical theatre career. Robbie has a massive fanbase and 500k followers on twitter, and he's with Ola who is one of the most popular pros and she is delivering what she's good at deliveringwith a weak dancer. Harry's got a big fanbase and its doing well enough and showing enough to keep them voting. Alex comes with a BBC1 audience thats watching in about the same time slot as SCD-she's known and liked. She's also got herself a bit of a SCD journey story. Holy appeared on daytime TV quite a few years ago, she's got a big twitter following but its global, 3 times Jason's but a quarter the size of Harry's , and she may be the least known of those left.

To beat that, Holly needs a striking routine with the right music to get momentum - not complex or pretty, but funny or dramatic or romantic or preferably all 3.

I agree with you there Thomas - if that were the case, then Robbie would have had to get 4 points and Anita 3 (to be tied with Holly on overall points).

IMO, it will be between Holly and Anita next week as to who goes, could be both in the bottom, or just either of them (think if it was just one then would be Anita and perhaps Robbie?)
