i dont see her as cold? she always seems so grateful that she was picked and thanks everyone for voting and says thankyou to the judges all the time. she's always smiling too

I suspected that Amelia and her fans were in for a rude awakening this week. After bringing her back into the competition the judges HAD to over praise her performance in order to make the decision look good. Pimp spot + rave review + media hype = nowhere to go but down.

nopeee not at all, she still remains one of my faves and if anything gave the performance of the series and reminded us all why she is here when she sung ‘You and I'

She's alright, don't think she's anything special like she's being made out to be though. She reminded me of Christina Aguilera on Saturday [although Xtina's obviously a lot better], but I don't really get Amelia much, and I don't think she has the right attitude either, she knows she's good.

I don't think she is cold and I also think that the accusations of her shouting are not very fair either. She has a powerful voice and the songs she has been given require some of the lines to be belted out. Given that there was a lot of discussion of how she was supposed to be struggling with the high notes during rehearsals for Saturday's show, she managed to hit every one of them, and sustain them as well. I daresay it was a difficult song for her to sing, but Kelly should have known that when she chose it. It was written for a strong-voiced soprano, while Amelia is a strong-voiced alto.

There are areas that I would like to see improved, however. If they made her up less heavily and dressed her a bit more demurely, I suspect that she would look a lot prettier. She certainly did while singing alongside Bryan Adams. They seem to be going for the bold, brassy look so far, but perhaps a softer appearance and a much gentler song would work in her favour next Saturday. At least it would demonstrate that she isn't a one trick pony. The other thing that might have cost her votes is the way that she pleads for them when interviewed. I think she says it because she doesn't know what else she can say. Something for her mentor to work on with her, perhaps.

Since Kelly now has three fifths of the remaining contestants, surely it would be in her interests to get all three of them into the final if she can.

Theres no way Amelia can win now-I do feel sorry for her because she doesnt seem to get given decent songs?

Its really interesting to look at previous posts made by people as it tells you a lot about them.............

Your previous posts dont exactly back up your claim of being a big fan now do they?

She sang 'Think' very badly this week and I didn't like Billy Jean either.

She did shout her song, whether people like the way Gary put it or not, he was in fact right, for me Louis should have booted off Amelia and not Craig, like you she tends to leave me cold.”

I agree she was the weakest of the 4 on the first show. The subtelty and emotion Craig put in his sing off did make Amelia seem shouty. I liked her at judges houses and thought she should go through to live shows but since then she does come across as cold and I can't put my finger on it. The OH even commented on her face last night and they thought she was cold too....so there must be something....the other problem she faces is rock singers don't tend to win the X factor.

Really how so?

I said I was a big supporter at the beginning and since she went so soon I don't feel I knew much about her.

Since shes been back I find I am not drawn to her as much.

Its my opinion which as its a free country I am allowed to change it If want !

Stop watching X factor and just hold out for CBB in January, seriously...

I can't get over her dead-looking eyes. There's no life in them, except "I only just came back! I only just came back!" Great singer, but she looks like such a cold lass. To use clichés and put it melodramatically, I feel no "connection" with her onstage.

She seems very nice when ever she's been interviewed. She hasn't got a naturally smiley face and looked sad and disappointed when she got voted off (who wouldn't) but as someone who hasn't got a naturally smiley face either, I see how people can translate that into looking hard.

Also, I like her slightly tarty, edgy look. Why should she conform to someone else's idea of femininity?

For all the people saying she's not as good as Xtina etc. don't forget she's only young and still developing her voice. She has the biggest potential out of any of them to be a pop star. Misha's not far behind but I don't trust her managers or whatever would take her down the right path. Whereas Amelia can go down the rock/pop route because she's got the voice for it already. (knowing the xfactor though if she does win they will probably try and turn her into another Leona Lewis and give her ballads to sing.)

I have slightly gone off her now. Going into the live shows she was one of my main favourites, and I was gutted that she was eliminated in the first live show. But now the honeymoon period of her return is over, and I actually thought she should be in the bottom two last night and should even go. Plus, I'm starting to feel it's unfair if she gets to dodge all the constant stress the others have had all the weeks she has been missing.

No, but you've mentioned her 'coldness', as several people have and I wonder if you can give an example of it, or is it just because she hasn't got a smiley face?

You & I (her sing-off song) was nothing special, either.
