Excellent! Hopefully he'll give Dierdre lots more angst, but I hope it doesn't lead to a tug-of-love between Ray and Ken!

Ray Langton, I have confused him with the one who was killed by a Blackpool Tram, (who was that then)

Mid to late 70s! Years before I was born nevermind watched. It really is a bizarre comeback but I reckon this more for Tracy's benefit than Deirdrie's...or should I say, it probably wouldn't have happened if Tracy (in her current form) wasn't there.

Does anyone know if its the same actor? I read somewhere that he had really struggled to get work after leaving.

i thought the actor lived in the states, in March (i think) Helen Worth was on the richard and judy show and they phoned up the actor at the bank he works in - but he wasn't there and they got the answer machine instead and helen left him a message.

Yes, its taken Plus 8 years to show nearly 18 years of Corrie, they started with episodes from April 1976 when Elsie Tanner/Howard came back after a 3 year break. They catch up quick as it was only on twice a week up to 1989, and then 3 times a week.
