Good for her i guess. She's got a big fan base and she's obviously good at what she does.

I've just seen that to. To be fair I really am not a fan of Janets but I can't think what section of the public is voting for her. Young girls? Not sure. She just really doesn't appeal to me. Can understand her being on the live shows but as Holly said on TM I think her time on the show should be coming to an end.
May well be true I should imagine with the level of unparalleled promotion she is getting in Northern Ireland I don’t however see how Jeff would get that information without some serious breach happening.
Joe won nearly every week his year but we did not hear about it until much later when the series was finished and it came as a bit of a surprise to everyone.

It will be interesting this week as Jeff announced the theme is Motown, I cant imagine Janet's voice being suited to any Motown song. If she survives the botttom two then perhaps it is correct and she will win.

Your opinions on her voice don't make it a fact. The girl obviously has a huge fanbase..and i suppose they like her because....they like her voice. Obviously.
I realised this weekend that Janet was probably going to win this show. Her performance on the weekend was alot better, but over the series she has been average at best. I loved her first audition but was downhill from there. Seems she has a massive fanbase voting for her, but I wonder if they will buy her music if she wins the show, like I think she will now.
It's because she's playing the "humble" card knowing it will get her far. The public hate "confident" people like Misha B.
(1) Never ever believe these "leak" stories. They are always made up, because noone has access to those vote counts. They are just looking for a story and guessing. She may be top of the vote ... or just scraping out of the bottom two. We simply do not know.
(2) Which vacuous TV presenters are saying what at the moment in an attempt to look cool or current is not important or relevant. Janet is there because many of us think she sounds amazing, are voting for her, and will buy her material. It is no more complex than that.

It depends on how radio friendly and current her album is really. Voice comes second in the industry today. It's all about the song.
Not that Janet doesn't have a good voice, but look at Matt, say what you want about him but he had a great voice but his songs were dated dull and crap.
I heard Jeff say that Janet is getting most votes and I think there's always a 'Janet' in X Factor every year... someone who is that little bit different, with a good fanbase... and I think last year the 'Janet' was Cher Lloyd and another 'Janet' was Diana Vickers! I don't feel she is her mentor's favourite though!

Somebody must have access otherwise Dermot wouldn't know who to send home. People do leak information and you only have to look at Big Brother to see that. The nominations are always leaked by somebody in the know way before they are ever officially announced.

Joe was always in the top 4 throughout but didn't take the lead until week 7 and then stayed there.
Matt won all but the first week last year, and Steve and Leon won every week.

Funny how when it suits her detractors, she's playing the humble card and when she stands up for herself, her detractors say she's arrogant.
I can well believe this. The Star has stated as much and their XF leaks are about the only thing they've ever printed that has been reliable other than the date.
Janet is not my cup of tea but I can see why she would appeal to a substantial part of the audience. Far more so than Amelia or Misha for example.
