Is doing the same song you did at audition wise? Particularly when your audition was shown in full.

I think Janet and Litte Mix sound more contemporary than the others and that appeals to the younger audience whom I imagine do most of the voting.

I live in norhern ireland and Janet is not getting unparelled promotion here... maybe in her home town county yes. I for one along with alot of other people here just do not like her style but thats not to say she is not a good singer just not my cup of tea

I think that might be a bit of red herring actually - the alleged insiders would be in a lot of trouble for leaking thst - so I would treat that with a large gallon of salt

It is going to be a bit weird if she does win because she has been cited on the experts panel of Xtra factor for the last few weeks almost universally as one of the weaker more limited performers and has been given very little praise ...and last night you have the mirror and star and other reporters wishing she would be voted off .. And then the programme is going to have to go woohoo here is our amazing winner..

Well...

(1) Reporters follow the prevailing wind. In the early weeks, Janet was "in" and it was all pro-Janet. In the middle weeks, Janet was "out", and it was all anti-Janet. They will move with whatever the public vote tells them to move with. Never assume the journalists (especially tabloid journalists) won't say whatever they think will sell them papers.

(2) Celebrities want to appear "cool" and "with it", and so will also have a tendency to say they like whomever seems most popular. That said, but at least some of them will give their genuine opinions. Some will like a specific act, some will not, according to their own tastes. A bit like everyone else.

I am sure X Factor will adapt and say they "love" whomever wins. That's the nature of the business.

That said, I still don't think Janet will actually win, nor do I think it would necessarily be good for her if she did. But a slot in the final is a distinct possibility.

However I think this has peaked now and she'll probably be a dark shade of mahogany if she makes it to final night.

I wouldn't believe a word of what Jeff Brazier says - shooting ones mouth off about who is getting the mosty votes is likely to result ins someone being fired. I am convinced it is a red herring

I would say in general I don't like ginger hair much, although I think it actually really suits her, I really liked the shade of it this weekend

Anyhow - not true by itself, the whole "regional fanbase" thing comes up for all these competitions - for the most part it's entirely rubbish. Specific towns might be glazened with posters for their act, but the entire nation? Give it a break..

Obviously everyone will have their pockets of fans, within cities/towns/countries, I doubt many in NI are consciously thinking "oh God, she's Irish, better vote her through".

Eoghan topped the votes all the way until Week 8 so I dont think Janet will win (she can) but I dont think she will

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest : she may even have finished ahead of the much hyped Little Mix on Saturday.

I think Janet has much broader appeal than Eoghan....he was primarily an act for the teenage girls.

Jeff says a lot of things and that's why I don't pay attention to him. I'd rather wait until the viewing figures are released at the end.

Yes, this morning I was listening to radio Ulster and they had their weekly phone in about X Factor and they mentioned Janet briefly, with their Northern Irish TV expert woman saying she's going off her because she has a miserable face, and then the radio presenter said at the end nobody had rung in to say anything positive about Janet. Northern Ireland isn't having a big Janet party every day, sometimes her face is shown in the ad breaks on UTV but thats about the height of it.
