I've noticed the forum isn't that lively atm, so I thought about creating a thread of your all-time favourite Apprentice episodes. I apologise if there is a similar thread.

So, what is your favourite ever episode?

My personal favourite was the Marrakesh task in Series 4. Drama, controversy, ineptness, double firing, lots of "THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT" and the firing of my most hated candidate!

Close seconds for me are the boat task in Series 2 (Why wasn't that ever repeated?) and the Interview stage in Series 3 for the drama that kept you guessing what would happen until the very end!

Poor Jenny Mcguire - ok she was a bit of an Ice Queen - but surely not most hated.

Haha, I was referring to Jenny Celerier who, as a Lucinda fan, I absolutely despised! Didn't mind Jenny Maguire that much, but she was never going to win.

I loved the episode where Stuart "Herr" Baggs got ripped apart by the interviewer. "You're not even a fish."

I agree with the OP. The Marrakesh episode is the best.

The cruise task in series 2 was also very good. The whole show was much better then than it is now.

2. Sandalwood
3. Marrakesh

The episode in France was amazing, what with the Macro cheese, the bean tins and then the awesome boardroom where Kristina outed Paul and Katie's relationship.

Also, I always enjoyed the episode where Philip gets fired. Lorraine is the PM, and he, Ben and Kate had absolutely no interest in winning the task and just spent the day arseing around, under the assumption that Lorraine would get fired regardless, only for Phil to get a complete arsewhipping in the boardroom. Oh, and of course who can forget Margaret deciding that Lorraine was the "Cassandra" of the group - something that Lorraine never EVER let go of!

Which task was the Fromage one?

Oh yeah, who could forget the monumental Yasmina cock-up with Sandalwood?
And Philip's ridiculus Pantsman idea... God, I was happy when he was fired.

This episode is my favorite as well, it has it all. The boardroom is epic, and it also has a fantastic coda, where in Adam returns to the house, where the other candidates are busy ripping him to shreds and wrongly assuming he will be the one fired (it still worries me that Simon won in the end when he apparently thinks that over spending on a sign by £50 would be the principle cause of losing a task when the team made an overall loss of about £500), to be greeted by total silence and delivers a salute to Katie Hopkins before asking "wheres the cheers?"

Torn - so many. I love the whole Tre and Rory "You're not my Boss!". I also loved the Sandalwood debacle and the 1 chicken per pizza.

Marrakesh, without question. So much good stuff crammed in to the one episode.

My favourite quote of all time was when Nick pointed out their mistake and said it can just cost them £400 and Yasmina started to stroppily correct him - "No, half of four hundr...sh*t!"

Not a full episode but I'll always love the part of the laundry task in S4 where half of the boys team rang Raef in a panic because they had so much to do, and Raef assured them he'd be there soon before hanging up, turning around and ordering a latte!

Oh, and WOLF JACKETS!

OMG, James's reaction when he saw the jackets was SO funny! I would have lloved that episode if only Miriam wasn't robbed against the useless Paul!

My favourite moment was the deadpan payback/punchline from Nick: I'll leave that with you...

So many good ones mentioned already

I would recommend series 1, episode 2. Design a toy. If you've ever watched it you'll know it as "Secret Signals" - a master class by team leader Lindsey Bogaard on how to ignore your focus group, ignore your team, champion a clearly lame product and completely embaress yourself in a presentation to serious business people.

If we're talking about embarrassing yourself in a presentation, then Rachel kicking off her shoes deserves a mention.

All of my favourite moments have Margaret or Nick. Kate trying to sell cold canapes as hot ones and vice versa.

'Our next cold canape is bruschetta - always a favourite!''

*Margaret holds head in hands. Or maybe she just raised an eyebrow, but you knew she was holding her head in her hands mentally*

Definitely the most cringeworthy moment ever. It's however many years later, and it still makes my toes curl just to think about it.

Marrakesh. It was satisfying in so many ways. Firstly, more than in any other episode the teams were divided into nice characters and nasty characters and the nasty lot lost. Jenny Celerier, the most hateful candidate in Apprentice history, got fired on her birthday, after trying to bribe shop staff to sabotage the other team and making the most awesome screw-up over kosher chicken. Michael Sophocles got outed as the greasy little toady he was, claiming to be a "good Jewish boy" and not knowing what kosher meant. The two victims of bullying, Lucinda and Sara, were singled out for praise. And Claire posed as Alex's girlfriend for no discernable reason and got so into the part she fouled up a deal pretending to throw a strop.

Marvellous, all of it. The only thing it needed to make it perfect was Michael getting fired instead of Jennifer McGuire.

You must all have good memories, I can't remember what happened last series let alone several series ago!

I'd just like second all that, reiterating my love for the Marrakesh episode, particularly the bit I've bolded!

Can someone tell me about the Sandalwood blunder? I never saw that episode.

Series 5, Week 4

The teams had to create a new soap. PM Paula put Yasmina and Ben in charge of mixing and Yasmina mistook Sandalwood for Cederwood (and she mixed grams and kilos I think) and she thought she had to pay only £5, when it cost them over £700.

The funny quotes that people are referring to can all be seen in this following video:

Enjoy!

Marrakesh definitely. The most dramatic boardroom showdown to date. The way Sugar booted Jenny C out of the contest was classic TV.
