I have been using a Samsung Story HDD to collect programs previously recorded on to the FoxSat Hdd.

As it fills up it has got steadily slower and slower and yesterday it decided that it didn't want to work any more.

It is no longer recognised by the Foxsat or by another computer. The power light doesn't stay on and there is a clicking sound. Not good !

I have spent a few hours trying to make contact with Samsung but without success.

Has anyone experience of problems with this HDD

The clicking sound on a hard drive is usually a bad sign that the drive is breaking or broke. I've had the same problem with 2 maxtors I've owned in the past. Never had any problems with WD.
