Tulisa facing an Ofcom probe - dear me. Who would want to buy her 'Eau de street' perfume anyway?

"Watchdog Ofcom has launched an investigation into whether X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos has breached broadcasting rules by promoting her brand of perfume on the hit ITV1 show.
The star, 23, unveiled her new fragrance, The Female Boss, last month at The Perfume Shop in London.

Ofcom has received complaints that, by making her signature arm gesture when she is introduced on stage with the other judges at the start of each show, Tulisa is promoting her perfume on The X Factor.

As well as looking at the arm gesture, Ofcom is viewing a pre-recorded segment on The Xtra Factor which was aired about the new scent

Wow, capitalism really IS dead if complaints like this go forward.

She hasn't been blatant about it. If she's doing something subtle, good on her (and I don't even LIKE her much--she's definitely a rude ignorant twit--but I won't slam her for something that wasn't wrong, since she's done enough things which were LEGITIMATELY questionable).

Does it say 'the Female Boss' or 'F Misha B'?

I'm glad that OFCOM have taken my complaint seriously.

I thought product placement was allowed in TV programmes now anyway.

LOL at the 3 people who complained. It's not even in English ffs, you'd have to recognise the tattoo and translate it. Clearly 3 people were clutching at straws.

I read that after a few days or more it starts to smell like cats pee on your clothes, whatever's in it when left for a while on clothes leaves a horrible smell. I think It's due to an extract from a plant or a moss used during the perfume process. Anyone hear this?

It still has to be agreed and paid for and an acknowledgement to the audience beforehand that product placement is going to happen.

Well the Associated Press reported it - and they only ever report serious news!

You can buy 50ml of it for less than £11 of Amazon - works as an anti bully spray too if certain X factor contestants mentored by Kelly are in the area too!

What does Ofcom do when they're not investigating complaints about XF? Loose Women could air live executions and get away with it, because all the Ofcom staff are busy elsewhere analysing the hemline on Rihanna's dress or looking for subliminal messages on Barlow's jackets.

Do you think people who complain about stuff like this also complain about worth while things like the Governments Health and social care bill?

All they have done is Now make it more aware, I had no idea what was on her arm or really cared it was just something she does when she wears short sleeves

I stand corrected. I thought it was in another language, shows how much attention I take.

How ridiculous! The Female Boss has been her nickname for years! People should really do their research before complaining!...it is just such coincidence that her perfume is named after her nickname!

I can't believe people complain

Maybe they were the same three people that bought it, in which case the complaint is justified
