I don't believe this for a second (I'm not calling you a liar - I'm saying I don't believe he didn't realise).

If he didn't know the dog was there, why did he dump the animal at the side of the road and piss off home for a few days?

He knew exactly what he was doing and should be made to pay for what he has done.

Of course, he will plead ignorance but I, and the majority of others, won't believe a word of it.

This, it's reported that he pulled up in a lay-by and "dumped" the dog. If so, then he knew.

b****hit! (his story obviously, not you, you're only repeating it), how do you not see a dog tied to a car before you head off!?

Stories like this really upset me and anger me to my core. This has to stop...but like most things in todays world....it'll carry on and on.

I can only echo the sentiments posted here. If you're going to have a pet, look after it properly.

Oh I see, he didn't know the dog was there. So somebody had tied the dog to the back of his car had they? Like we all do with our dogs - tie them to a cars rear bumper, while we're in the shop, an everyday occurrance.

This kind of unhinged behaviour towards animals seems to be getting worse .There is a story in the paper today of a woman microwaving a kitten to death .It is completely sick ,and the worse of it is that she went to the address with the intention of doing it .I used to think that a massive fine might put these individuals off. Now I think their pictures ,and addresses should be published in all the newspapers, the law is Not dealing with them.

There was a story several months back of an owner driving off not realizing that his wife had tied their two rottweilers to their truck , it was known to have been a tragic accident from the start . I dont know what I think in this case, because unfortunately some people get "ideas" as in doing a "copycat" thing.

I, for one, refuse to believe his was an accident. He dumped the poor dead dog at the side of the road AND WENT HOME. Why not go to the police there and then? Or report it?!

He then handed himself in a few days later.

He's as guilty as sin.

That's my opinion, anyway.
