She's incredibly talented, so I have really high hopes. Hope they include a mix of dance anthems and ballads. She's really versatile, and can dance too, so all good.

Think work on Jade's debut album starts soon too. God knows about Heidi, though it would be rather awesome if all three Babes released their debut albums next year, and did a massive tour for all four albums. Something like:

April 9th: Sugababes' final album
June: Amelle's debut album
September: Jade's debut album
October: Heidi's debut album
November/December: Farewell Tour

How sweet would that concert be?

I assumed this was just to do with the sugababes music and Amelle was going in the studio to record some of her parts, no one has mentioned anything about solo work.

It sounds good.Maybe going solo is a good way to strengthen the Sugababes' brand too I'm checking for all of them. However, without the intention to rain on your parade, the fact that an album is being recorded doesn't mean that it will be released too

Anyway, I really can't wait for the lead single of album no.8 I hope it's going to be brilliant.

(P.S.:Are you sure that Amelle can dance, though? )

The tweet gives no indication she is going solo.

In all honesty, I didn't even read the tweet Little monster is right, this tweet does not confirm anything.Anyway, IF she goes solo, I'll be checking for her I still would like Heidi to release a solo album or at least a solo single, just to see how this will work out, but I don't think she'll ever do it...

I wonder if they'll give their next single away for free as well?

It would suit Amelle to have a solo career. She has always been the prettiest Sugababe, even counting ex-Sugababes.

Where is the confirmation/announcement of Jade releasing a solo album? Amelle and Jade solo albums...I couldn't be more excited!

If true, I'm glad Jade hasn't give up, it always seemed to me that Crown were pushing her into a modelling/TV role.

I always thought Amelle could go solo after her feature on the Tinchy track, she has a distinctive voice and she could be very successful with a solo album...I'd listen to it for sure.

Jade should just give it up though. Hasn't she tried like 4 times to be a solo artist and every time she's flopped. Her latest solo effort was dreadful.

I'm not sure Heidi is distinctive enough to go solo, yes she has a great voice, but she is more suited to a band. Plus most bands only have 1 really successful solo artist, and I'd put money on Amelle being this from the Sugababes.

I could see Heidi doing well with a kind of jazzy/Dionne Bromfield type album.

I think the Sugababes should do a christmas album, they already have Santa baby, id buy it lol.

Rumours on Popjustice that Sony have dropped them from their distribution deal, however also rumours that the deal was only for one single anyway. Not sure what the next move is for them if true.

And why does being pretty have anything to do with it if we're talking musically sugababes were at their best in their first two incarnations Sibohagn Donaghy one of the Uk's most underrated artists her Ghost album was epic.

Sugababes can't be "dropped", they are signed to Crown Music, their management company who are now a record label, and Crown Music publishes all their artists through Sony.

Sony have no say, direct or indirect, in Sugababes. They can merely advise.

So they've finally given up then?! Best to put the group to rest now while they have a tiny bit of dignity left rather than waiting for the next flop. Good on them.

Voicething from Pop Justice posted this update (he talks to Amelle and Amelle's sister quite regularly, runs one of her fansites I think?):

http://www.popjustice.com/forum/inde...254#msg1875254

Amelle's debut single is coming first. Still undecided whether Amelle's solo album will be released second, or Sugababes'. Interesting release strategy, getting the girls to do solo work: Amelle will keep the music alive and kicking, Heidi will become the Queen of ITV, and Jade continues to model. Then they all come together for the group's album.

this management/record company scenario is a joke. the way people are making it sound, you would swear they were referring to madonna`s collaboration with live nation and interscope.

It is overblown, but when you get people like Nancy Drew making up bullshit, how else would you react?
