Controversial characters have historically not done very well in these kinds of shows.

Pat has spiced things up and played the game, but can he win?

I can't see it, top 5 maybe if he's lucky. He's not even properly controversial, he's admitted he's being horrible to get noticed, and he's a prat.

Nothing wrong with being a controversial character, I love them, but he is being prat, he isn't funny, he thinks by being nasty, it will get him airtime and the public will love it. He knows that by just being himself, the public won't notice him so he has to be this person, it's quite pathetic really.

I think he's the central character and the show would be so blooming dull without him.

He has rocked their steady boat and that is what the Jungle should be about. Not about a bunch of 'celebs' sitting about being all fake. They have to earn their fee, he is making sure they do

But he is acting like a prat, he doesn't make me laugh, reduces a woman to tears to try and get a trial. If that is earning his keep, then it's not for me! He knows his own personality will not shine so he has to create this knob persona...which is very believable.

Usually, you can get a feel for who's in with a chance but I can't fathom out who could win out of the celebs in there - let alone Pat who isn't even liked by his own campmates!

Each time I see his face, I just think 'smarmy'. I will concede that I'm glad he's ruffled a few feathers to get something going - just as long as it isn't too nasty!

He doesn't make me belly laugh, but he is keeping me entertained, rather than the others all sat around faking it and moaning and crying.

If a 60 year old woman is reduced to tears about a teddy, she is to fragile to be on the show. She's an actress. Do you know how thick-skinned a jobbing actress needs to be? Almost all of them are role playing.

Can he win? probably not. To many people are already upset with him for being robotic in his trial, picking on chrissy (as if she wasn't being a petulant twit) and (omg) making fun of a teddy bear). jeez!

I agree too. Apart from Pat, the rest are a bunch of pansys sitting on the fence. They are too scared to voice an opinion in case they are nominated for a trial. Even if Pat was being nasty on purpose then so what! At least he did the trial and brought back food for everyone. I hope he wins
