Facebook on Android?
Hi, up until last week my SGII used to alert me when I received FB updates, a little icon on the top tool bar and sometimes a scrolling update across the top, it's stopped doing this for some reason? Any ideas?

My daughter had the same issue on her galaxy ace.
She said that she fixed it by going into Facebook settings and changing one of the options. |

The facebook developers are soooo clumsy.
Example, when you get a notification about a comment, when you click on it the text box at the bottom has vanished! You have to click on the person who started it then go back into the status! |

I've got a Nexus S and never had any alerts from the FB app apart from when I've received a new private message.
If you look at the comments people have left it on the Market you will see it's a common complaint. One that they haven't fixed for years it seems which really is shocking. |

The facebook apps are rubbish at the moment, various little bugs like that, seen it in the Android version and the iOS version.
The most annoying one is opening a photo to find comments from a completely different photo, then closing it, reopening the photo then the comments are the right ones. Or, commenting on a photo directly from the news feed actually posts the comment into a completely different photo! |

I've just tried doing this (see link) via a blackberry. Have the same problem on S2. Although as of yet I've still not received any push notifications.

The Android version is rubbish! So slow and buggy. You;d never think someone so big as Facebook could make something so bad!
Read the reviews here - it's not just me! https://market.android.com/details?i...ay5rYXRhbmEiXQ.. Try the mobile Facebook site - no notifications, but at least it works! |

I feel the same as one of the posters above that the Facebook app for Android is crap the now. For sometimes it fully works and other times it dont.

The iPhone one is awful as well, so Android users aren't alone.

All the mobile apps are frankly ridiculous.
On my iPhone, the friends list is appearing as placeholders rather than names, and people in my news feed have other contacts profile pictures. Crazy. |
