We have two kittens (about 4 months old), Cleo & Caesar who are both utterly gorgeous. Naughty as you like, but gorgeous nonetheless!

Just recently, I've noticed that when they are playing, Cleo makes a noise like a dolphin. It's the only way I can desribe it! It's not a purr and it's not a cry - almost a mixture of the two. I've tried for the life of me to imitate it, but I don't think any human could!

I'm not concerned that there is anything wrong with her - she only does it when she's having fun which then makes Caesar do the same noise...

Wondered if anyone else's cats make this strange, almost creepy, noise?!

Mine snorts like a pig when she is having fun (she is grown up). Mind you, she did look like a l little porker for a while, but a diet has sorted that one out

My baby Elph squeaks like Ann in Little Britain when she's excited/impatient for food which forces me to imitate.. " eh eh ehhhhh!"

I think its adorable how they make such funny noises.

Clyde, my lovely cat who is no longer around, would purr and cry at the same time, if he hadn't seen us for a while. We used to say it was a wimpish-lion roar!

Loving this thread coz my 5 month old kitteh makes the same noise. I describe it as a chirp. Sooo cute!

It's not quite that creepy...!
