When Paddy and Sally and Kym Marsh should launch off the back of Big Brother IMO; All About Amy is still on air at that point to be given a boost. I can see Bendiorm ER being supported by Big Brother too but I can't see Big Brother starting at 9pm for for more than three nights.

Scrap what I said about NCIS. Season 6 has of course already aired on Channel 5, so despite marking it as a new series in the press booklet, it could in fact be a repeat. In which case ALL of the major US imports are being held back, and one can only assume that is with a view to learning from this year's mistakes and running more relevant programmes around CBB instead.

At this point I wouldn't be surprised if they schedule CBB at 9pm most nights, with the likes of Kym Marsh, Benidorm ER, Paddy & Sally, All About Amy etc airing immediately after at 10pm. There is always the +1 option now for viewers who want to watch CBB at 10.

It will probably be simulcast in HD, but I don't have details on this just yet.

Looking at its ratings in the U.S. it does look as though Season 2 could be its last. However it sounds like a good fit for C5, so probably a decent little pickup even if they only get a season or two out of it.

One thing that strikes me immediately about Body of Proof is the male lead is the spitting image of The Mentalist's Simon Baker! See here.

Alittle bit lower than I was expecting for TXF, but 13.1m (inc. +1) isn't bad considering the way this series has gone since the live shows set in. The entire series has averaged 10.8m (inc. +1: 11.2m) in the overnights. The final official average will be just over 12m excluding +1.

Disaster for Text Santa. I was expecting something between 5-6m so under 4m with a 15m+ lead in, isn't great news for Xmas Eve now. The Cube should have done better, as someone said earlier, it was a great episode last night.

SCD did well in the earlier slot. Next week should be interesting for it. I can't see it beating TXF in the overnights but officially its going to be very close.

The audition stage has really helped the year-on-year comparison for The X Factor. Compare from bootcamp onwwards and the year-on-year decline would be much more severe.

From bootcamp onwards, The X Factor has been down -14% vs. last year's equivalent period.

That is a strong average for I'm a Celeb especially as many seemed to be very certain that this year's show would show large declines, to average over 10m is good for a show in it's 11th series.

X-Factor was "ok" by X-Factor standards could have been worse, but really ITV need to take this as a wake up call.

Dancc the PI is a bit of a mess today, is NCIS new series or not?

You're telling me! It's labelled as a new season but the description is clearly for the first episode of Season 6 'Last Man Standing' which was shown first on Channel 5 way back on 13/1/10.

Either there's been a mixup with the description, or, and this is more likely I think, they will air repeats for now and the new season will begin around February 1st. (Celebrity Big Brother ends the previous Friday)

CBB is back in its old slot so I expect about 2.5 million a night, but the main stumbling block could be the summer BB, which in its first( OK it was autumn) season on Channel 5 achieved only 1.4 million viewers. It wouldn't surprise me if Channel 5 renegotiate the deal with Endemol next year to ditch BB and retain CBB.
As for the others, and BGT isn't really a reality show, but I can see where you're coming from, and I think this will continue to be big, averaging 11 million viewers. IAC is a tricky one: some people say it's not going any time soon, but the format is getting old and ratings dropped this season. If it does relatively badly next year, then I can see it going as the celebs in an exotic location style of reality show is very mid noughties.

What would you say BGT is then if it isn't a reality show?

Isn't 'When Paddy Met Sally' just an episode of Celebrity Wife Swap? Could be very interesting to watch, as could Benidorm ER which has the possibility of retaining the youth audiences which Amy/ Tamera haven't be able to.

I think Channel 5 need to establish the line between "guilty pleasure but enjoyable" ( CBB, WPMS & BER) and "trash" (Amy, Tamera & TB)

I've actually begun to catch up on CBB this year ( not going to bother with the normal version) and could get into from the beginning this year especially as the rumored contestants seem intriguing.

When will Coronation Street move back to Wednesday's? It may have already moved by this point.

Poor finish to ( relatively) poor series of X-Factor which I'm sure Cowell is currently in the process of rejuvenating as we speak. A judges change is almost defintley on the cards with Cole and Cowell likely to return, with perhaps someone such as Robbie Williams/ Sharon Osbourne coming into the panel in order to make things more entertaining.

Text Santa... what a disaster and a waste of a golden slot. The main problem is that firstly it doesn't seem to know what it is supposed to be with promotion and planning being very haphazard. As a brand it just didn't seem to capture the public imagination and hopefully it will not return.

Cube as well didn't exactly set the world alight. ITV are going to be praying that BGT and DOI can deliver the goods this year. With the rumors of Dannii and David Walliams joining the panel along with Cowell I feel BGT is pretty safe ratings wise, although DOI could be in trouble if Louie Spence fails to gel with the audience. Having Karen back on the panel could however work in there favor.

Good rating for the BRILLIANT C4 documentary considering everything was against it although it could have had easily double that figure in a more plump slot. All eyes will be on BFGW and TISE86 to bring in the goods later this month.

Expected better for Superbad on C5 but not awful all things considering. CBB should bring in a very decent audience with Frankie Cocozza creating a buzz in the media and the key 16-34 demo. The crossover between the shows after CBB is far better aswell with WPMS and Kym Marsh so they could see good ratings of about 1.5 or beyond.

Some fair points there. Surprisingly I find myself agreeing with almost all of that. The Bachelor though I would say fits guilty pleasure but enjoyable more than trash as demonstrated I think by the very consistent viewing figures. However, I'm unsure about Amy Childs as The Bachelorette. It could be a one series wonder. They really did hit the jackpot with Gavin Henson because he was perfect for this show.

Body of Proof will air in w/c 7th January. I don't have an exact launch date yet, but we will find out on Friday when the final schedules are published for the week in question.

ITV have gone for two games per night for Tuesday night flop zone - good move.
