More inept scheduling from Channel 4 tonight. Just why on earth is there a double bill of 8/10 Cats?

Isn't the whole point of the show that it's topical? One of the rounds is about the most talked about things of the week.

Didn't they drop the episode last week to avoid Children In Need?

True, but you don't see the Beeb having a double bill of HIGNFY tonight. Because they know how ridiculous it would look.

Putting it up against HIGNFY is foolhardy in the first place.

Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley to focus on ITV1 peak time.

The ITV Press Release :

http://www.itv.com/presscentre/press...y/default.html

ITV1 is also developing a new peak time factual entertainment challenge show with Christine as well as a new peak time home renovation programme.

“It can also be confirmed that Adrian’s successful topical discussion show, That Sunday Night Show, will return to ITV1 for a third series in 2012.”

um I might consult a dictionary on that one.

I guess that confirms Guess the Star is dead, not sure how Christine will fit in on a home renovation program. I guess we just have to wait and see how this works out.

I guess Text Santa, will be the first real test of Christine on ITV 1 primetime.

BBC's F1 coverage plans for 2012. So that's nice and clear then.

Difficult first test, it sounds like a complete Turkey if you'll excuse the festive pun

I will allow the pun

I am a sure that a presenter of Christines talent (and she must be very talented given how much ITV paid for her) can rescue a poor format and allow it to have a reasonable rating

Well, we now know what ITV's Tuesday's schedule will look like when there is no Football

I don't think Christine is presenting on the 2nd show, only the post X Factor 'warm-up'.

Ant & Dec and Holly Willoughby for Christmas Eve I think.

even if she is only on the first show, it will be a good first outing for the new Dancing on Ice duo.

Am I reading this right then, that the BBC will show 90 minutes of Qualifying highlights on Saturday evenings at 5.30pm for the European Grand Prix's that they don't show live ?

I seem to remember her presenting Simply Red: The Last Concert wasn't exactly a roaring success. What's happened about the remake of Stars in their Eyes she was supposed to be piloting ? Talk about re-writing history I wonder if ITV will force her and Adrian to continue hosting Daybreak until the end of the year as it is becoming almost ghoulish.

That's how I read it.

Euro-based Grands Prix at 5:30 to 7pm

Far-east based Grands Prix at 2pm to 4pm

Live as before.

EDIT: Actually not sure now, does not seem to mention qualifying highlights at all.

EDIT II:

"Qualifying: Extended highlights (75 mins) BBC One and BBC One HD, Saturdays at 1730 for European time zone races and 1300 for early morning races"

Isn't it 75 mins, and 90 on race days?

Natasha Kaplinsky is bizarrely bookies' favourite to replace Adrian/Christine on Daybreak despite ruling herself out, closely followed by Eamonn Holmes who has just signed a new contract with Sky! Most of the 'candidates' supplied by William Hill are pretty dire and will prolong ITV's breakfast misery.

I thought that. More proof that Piers isn't half the ratings force he thinks he is.

It was a repeat of an episode, probably been shown several times before.

Let's not pretend that the first run Saturday night episodes don't do alright - they do.

Really good BBC One Christmas trail. Although I don't recognise all of the faces.

When I was typing that I meant TXF but now you mention it...

The ITV Press Centre has Agatha Christie's Poirot: The Clocks down for Tuesday 27th December at 8pm, meaning their Christmas schedule so far looks like this:
