Both the performance and results shows are now showing on Digiguide as being on BBC One HD and BBC HD, so yes.

Wow, that is another mediocre sub 8m rating for IAC.

A big year of declines for the big reality/celebrity/contest shows this year, with only Strictly acquitting itself admirably.

Has the bubble burst?

Tim Brooke-Taylor will front a BBC1 pilot in which a dog helps present the week's news: bit.ly/rzc34z

For those who find The One Show and Thats Britain too challenging

What's the correct figure for IAC? Bushmills posted 7.9m but DS says 7.22m. I expect it's the former. Bit of a if it's the latter.

“Talkback Thames is developing the Saturday evening show, titled Everyone Loves Animals, that will see a man and his dog present a spoof news programme bringing viewers all the biggest stories from the animal kingdom.

Brooke-Taylor, who became renowned for his surrealist humour in BBC2 sketch show The Goodies, will play the presenter, while Baker will be his faithful hound.

The non-TX pilot will feature user generated clips and was recorded in a studio. Talkback is currently waiting to hear if the show has been greenlit.”

If you look at the timing, it looks like there is a 1pm and 10pm news, i guess events will carry on elsewhere.

Yes, they'll clearly move over to BBC2 for the one and ten at least, and presumably the six, given they have slots starting at 1.45 and 10.35. And obviously it'll depend what's going on on any given day. Don't really know why they've bothered to release that timetable, actually, or why it's a news story.

the pilot I saw had a man dressed as a dog, and a woman as a cat, doing animal news, but the news and content element sounds similar.

Maybe they sing with their mentors?

Looks to me like BBC1 and BBC3 will have continuous Olympics coverage from dawn till dusk and BBC2 will take on everything else, including EastEnders you would presume. Doesn't look like there will be any Olympics coverage on BBC2 at all.

I think that's quite good, it's a filler RTV show like Jordan and Kerry, except that her claim to fame is appearing on another filler RTV show .

claim to fame are getting ever smaller these days. We may yet see a day when my appearance on ITV Regional News is enough to make me "famous"

Really? According to Broadcast it's well below the slot average. Not sure why you'd consider it 'good'. I'd consider it half decent for ITV2 or E4 but even then it wouldn't be a spectacular rating.

I meant for the show not the channel, not typically something you would put on a main channel.

EDIT: EE had 1.77m (8.8%) on BBC3, which might be its highest ever I think.”

EastEnders BBC 3's Highest figure was May2010 (During BGT) and was 1.8m

ITV once had a US series about a talking horse Mr Ed which was pretty popular (I think it was a real horse not a man dressed as a horse)

it was repeated on Ch 4 in the 1980s at teatime. He wasn't a newsreader though. He was just a normal talking horse.

I think the format of this show is different from Mr Ed.
