I really enjoyed it too, completely off the wall, but it's fantastic to see Channel 4 doing stuff like this abit leftfield and pushing the boundaries. I agree that it won't rate well, but great for their reputation.
I am optimistic that they will improve their output after what has been a difficult and disappointing year for them.
They've weathered the first year without BB, hopefully they can now move on and start being more creative.

Black Mirror didn't do well, thought that would be capable of 2m - 2.5m (exc +1), what with all the promo and the cushy Sunday 9pm slot. I expect their film premiere The Golden Compass did well at 6pm though, maybe 3m + for that.
A fairly poor rating for the Beyonce show as well, totally should have had the IAC final in that slot. Beyonce could have got 4m anywhere in the schedule.

Disappointing for Black Mirror. Personally, I enjoyed it. I'm not usually one to watch UK drama, but the promos caught my interest so I was expecting to see it at around 2.5 - 2.9 million. I don't think the next episode will fare well given the reaction to last night's.
TXF - The peak doesn't seem to be reaching more than the 13 million range this year, so I can't see the final's peak being much better. Maybe a 13 million average and a 15 million peak when the winner is announced.

Garrow's Law was watched by 4.24m last night. So even with the 9pm hour way down for ITV1 compared to previous weeks, it was still the most watched channel at the time.
Fairly subdued ratings again last night. SCD and TXF still so-so, and TXF particularly disappointing given it revealed who the finalists are - very surprised to see the peak going down too. I can't see the final peaking in the 19m range this year somehow. I thought Garrow might have gone up, but it reversed. Perhaps BBC2 and C4 took away viewers but neither of those did particularly stellarly; I expected the Facebook doc to do better.

It's not all about two or three shows bringing in the headline figures, although reading this thread you could be forgiven for thinking otherwise. In Jan you will find just as many viewers watching TV overall, maybe more depending on the weather, but spread more evenly across the channels as it lacks the obvious draws we see in Q4. That, in my view, represents a more interesting time to be following the ratings, with more stories and greater scope for surprises as the "big two" adapt to life without the weekend juggernauts for which they rely so much on for 3-4 months of the year.
December 2010 was uniquely high in terms of total viewers and viewing minutes due to a combination of two very big shows coming to an end in a massive year for them, in tandem with the extreme weather experienced across the UK ensuring more bums on seats than usual. This is a pattern very unlikely to repeat as it took two important factors coming together at the right time.

The ratings will be lower in January because the big 2 won't be airing. But we can still expect to see some large winter audiences for the soaps, drama, sport. The ratings generally tail off in March and April and are generally still building at this time of year.

Lower on Saturday nights maybe, but Sunday to Friday audiences will probably be about the same or even up in terms of overall viewers.
Really underwhelming for BBC2, ITV1 and Ch4 at 9pm last night. Almost every Facebook status seemed to be about Beyonce and I was expecting 6m+ for that. What a waste of an opportunity for IAC. Hopefully they will learn from this next year. I'm guessing Ch4 will have been expecting more for Black Mirror considering the XF ad break promotion.

Facebook & Twitter showed what a small bubble it can truly be. Lots of mentions of Beyonce but didn't mean big ratings, likewise with Black Mirror. I never expected Beyonce to get 8/9m but at least 6m following the no.1 show of the week. It pissed away a huge inheritance. It should have been on Saturday with the I'm A Celeb final on Sunday.
And even though ITV was down Garrow's Law showed zero uplift. Very poor for Garrow's Law.

X Factor failing to make 12million with the semi final is bad news for the show.
