Good points - the introduction of Pasha
Bad points - the annoying VTs and the enforced standing ovations.

Last Vote was 0845 this morning and is slipping down the page
To me this indicates I have reached the majoritys boredom threshold

If I dont get to carried away I will publish Detailed result in about an hour

Thank you for all the hard work you've done already and in advance for the rest.

Don't overwork - we wouldn't want to lose you - and am not sure if supersub Brendan's maths is up to it!

Points raised in Referendum

Negative
The most comment was really bad VTs better when it was real training
Linked to over use of props & some bad music choices
Some critical of the Judges consistantecy To close to DWTS
Some really saying all of the above Dumbing down
Some see it as simple Judges scoring manipulation to avoid A john Sergeant situation
Some noted judges saying little bunching scores solves their problem
A recurring point dances harder to compare old format was easier
It struck me when compiling the last two lines above suggest the whole thing scripted
One or two questioned older age balance of celebs
One or two thought there isn’t enough dance
The second most negative was Sunday Results
Recorded big issue pretending is live big issue just padding & drivel mostly

Positive

Overwhelming support for new pro's Pasha & Artem in particular
Zoe on ITT
Craig some support for him to be head judge
Abolition of dance off
Themed weeks
Lens Lens (the one good thing to come out of Sunday)
Celebs / Pro's combined camaraderie
Ratings improvement

Cant win

seems to be ongoing debate about Bruce & Len & Tess
Polar views some love some hate

Some bemoaning Pro dancers no longer on the show yet most positive remarks about new pros
Standing ovations are now commonplace and some say now devalued

My thoughts

2330 people viewed the post = 7th on page 9 out of 22 pages
not bad for 1st post over 3 days Reached 4th Page
But only 44 people voted

Conclusion

Of very limited interest I notice lots of other polls during Saturday so I thought
as I watched the post disappear down the page as the evening wore on
It wasn’t different enough to engage a wide enough range of people
To be anything near a representative sample which would have been more interesting for all Fun to do but wonder where Sunday has gone

Doh! Found this thread too late. You probably should consider keeping it open until the day before the final or something. I'm not sure what day you started the thread on, but some people don't get on here much mid-week. I certainly don't get time to read everything of an evening when I get home from work either, so overlook a lot of threads until the weekend when I have a bit more time.
Anyway my vote would probably go
1. Chelsee
2. Jason.
3. Harry
4. Holly
5. Alex
6. Anita
7. Robbie
However, if Harry keeps on with performances like last night he might move to 2nd place!

Pasha has definitely been a great addition, and again like many others I agree that the silly VTs are a waste of time. I've wanted to throw stuff at the tv on many occasions!

Having reviewed the data after a break from it - I cant help thinking the main thing that sustains the shows longevity is the polar opinions - when you look at the negatives and positives and review a number of threads on DS there is a huge cross section of opinion watching the show - evryone ones opinion has merit and who ever worked out the shows format must have spent many hours researching at the start and many more monitoring trends as they develop.

Sure they get an occasional thing wrong or do they - I wonder how many think the whole thing is scripted

Judges extreeme reaction to joke candidates lead to a public backlash in the voting ( I wonder how long it will be before enough people realise their newer tactic of saying less - scoring so the celebs seem a bit bunched the phone vote is seemingly more difficault to "get one over the judges")

Supporting this theroy They used to have the celebs doing on two dances each week making easier to compare

I always thought the dance off was universaly unpopular but have noticed some (not many at the moment) want to bring it back.

Many dont understand why the results show isnt live on Saturday later on I am sure the bbc execs believe it helps thier Sunday night audiance

I wonder if the real issue is they dont want to affect the Match of the day audiance

I would have thought it worthwhile putting the Results show on BBC3 or 4 later in the evening and show again the next day like the do with MOTD (dont take someone from MENSA to work out its more viewing figures does it)

Its all very clever people complain about dancers who are not in the show any more just as many rave about the new ones

Who knows its not the x files is it - Its just a Saturday evening light entertainment game / reality mainstream TV show

I am thankful its on the BBC no adverts - DOI drives me mad in my view it has turned into adverts every 7 or 8 minutes for 4 minutes at a time - best watched Monday recorded so I can fast forward the breaks and lose up to 30 minutes of the show

My final thought on the strictly general election /referundum experience is After watching on Saturday i was ready to vote for Harry ( for the first time) great dance but not the most engaging personalty

so I can see The poll format would be an interesting diversion but fully accept the one above was not a popular format

The above post sounds really interesting but I don't understand all of it.

I love a good analysis!

The show seems more manipulated this year than prev.

I can't understand how Russell stayed in so long; I used to nip out to the kitchen and make tea when he was on even though I love to watch Flavia dance.

Claudia has no talent and is embarrassing to listen too - everything she says is about her feelings and not about the show itself. She's rude to interviewees if she thinks they are clever.

The audience vote is for overall entertainment value i.e. 'popularity'.

So the final score used to be the average of four technical votes 50:50 with the average popular appeal of the audience.

(although popular appeal of the audience must also be influenced by the number of personal supporters a dancer has - Holly seems to have left hers in Oz).

But then they replaced one technical judge with an entertainment-value/'effort &or charisma' judge (you should be proud, you owned the floor, you go for it, you're on the next level, you really sold it, I love your energy - and an occasional comment about arm or leg placement).

And now, Len speaks technically but tends to vote on entertainment value to sooth the baying live audience.

I used to watch Come Dancing (covertly) when I was a teenager. I hated the dresses and the formality. But now it's gone too far the other way.

The singer tonight was appealing to a very different type of audience. Horrible baco-foil catsuits.

Robbie is consistently undermarked.

It gets harder and harder to find quality tv but the costumes and the choreography on Strictly are absolutely world class - in other words the work of the professional dancers and dressers. Professional entertainers I think are a waste of money.

I don't like to see sixty-year old women showing their gusset. Much as I admire them for their suppleness.

A little bird tells me that LF2 feels this has not been a successful thread. So if we it to carry on we need to ask nicely!
