Where does it say that the x factor judges are looking for the next RnB idol or a chart topping group,it doesnt.They want something unique, something that has never been heard before.Alot of people are unsure about some of the contestants vocals,but give it time i am sure they will grow on them, the more they hear them. We are all today getting a bit bored with the same old music that seems to be playing no matter where you go. Come on you lot give them all a chance , listen more carefuly and you may be surprised, a breath of fresh air is what we all need.

Totally agree with you Uncle Pete. Sometimes we forget the fact that the management teams will help to bring out the best of the singers in the series. Your three picks are exactly the same as mine too.

As i said before, nobody is sure who has got to the final 3, too many mixed reports,not really all that sure about believing what the tabloids say.

To much time is spent on the judges aspect side of the show and and doing everything else but hearing the contestants sing enough or getting to know them.
I find it hard to really form an opinion based on 8 seconds of singing at the most.

Based on what i have heard though i would say that i think that
Andy did not deserve to make the top five. I also would not have put Verity through either. I think that she has a weak voice and i would have put her out a long time ago. I was so miffed to see that Wayne never got through, to me he deserved to make it.

Favourite band: Advance
Favourite under 25: i need to hear more of them.
Favourite over 25: Lloyd and Rowetta possibly but i need to hear more of them.

As i wrote above I really cannot say anymore than this right now because i need to hear them sing more, i cannot even remember what Odis sounds like.

Under 25s: Andy (more for the overall package/personality than the voice in itself- the X Factor if you will)
Over 25s: Rowetta (she's got it all IMHO)
Groups: tough one. The sister in me says VWS, the softy says 2 To Go and the Woman Of A Certain Age says G4

Overall: Rowetta- that rendition of Somewhere Over The Rainbow slayed me. And to quote Simon "that's rare".

Im really sorry-but i REALLY cant see why Steve and Rowetta as well as 2 to Go can be seen as having any X-Factor at all!...Ok, im not a fan of andy-but at least theres somethin different about him-Rowetta-yeah shes mad-but not that gr8 a singer-and Steve?? 2 to Go??? Please...Advance, Otis or Verity to win!!!

I don't think you can really have Andy as one of your favourites, and say Rowetta hasn't got a Gr8 voice.
Listen again to Somewhere Over A rainbow and compare it to one of Andy's clips.

Disagree with you Catch 22. You can easily have Andy as one of your favourites and not like Rowetta. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I like both and G4. Nothing wrong with my ears but I will wait till the live shows begin before I get too fanatical about my favourites. Rowetta may suffer a backlash in the not too distant future. There is far too much hype about her. She may end up disapointing some people whilst others come from nowhere. We will have a far better idea of how great people are after the first few live shows.

I was too hasty in my reply.

Just because I don't think he has a great voice doesn't mean anyone has to agree.
I do like his personality though and he does have something special, and this is the X factor.

I think the live shows will show off the most talented ones, and if all deliver there won't be any backlash.
It's the ones that can't deliver on the night who will & should suffer.

I think whoever makes the finals will do well anyway.
They are all winners out of 50,000 and will more than likely be rewarded for it, with fame & record deals.

Maybe my post should be in the "Permission to be shallow" thread but,(there's always a but,hee hee)stuff the other groups the over 25's is the only one I'm interested in.
