My cat Sixpence hardly ever meows. But when she does it's very croaky! She came home from the cattery this morning and greeted me with a meow which was very cute.
She has the loudest snore ever, and often 'prrps' when you stroke her.

As I've already said, Bungle is not very vocal at all, rarely in fact. Seeing as we no longer have Winnie, I've been trying to encourage Bungle to meow with no success.

Any tips? I've tried holding a treat and meowing (yes, actually meowing. I've tried to make it sound as authentic as possible but she's not responding).

I don't even know if it's possible, but it would be lovely because the house is so silent without Winnie.

Oh Mimi

I'm no cat expert, but from Simba, it seems he was born to meow!

I have a Thai cat and she's extremely vocal. If I say hello she'll meow in the same tone back to me and if she's annoyed with me she tells me so.

However, up until recently she didn't have any other cat-like qualities. I'd never seen her raise her hackles, hiss, or heard her purr very loudly. She was afraid of her own shadow, let alone another cat. However, since we've moved house there are now about 7 neighbourhood cats that all can come in and out of our house. She suddenly had to learn how to fight, defend her territory and play with other cats! I think she's quite happy now although for the first 2 weeks of being in the new house she used to hide in the washing machine - haha
