Have to disagree with ferfer about John not answering fanmail when in the UK, in the ''what happened next'' didn't we see him having a hissy fit cos he couldn't find a pile of it and blamed Josie on moving it, he even looked under the rug and said it didn't leave the house until it was answered, and the many times Josie tweeted they had been to the post office to send it off. maggi x
Yes, he wanted to find it, I watched that show too. I'd be interested to know if anyone who wrote him, got a response from just him?

Not quite sure why some of you think John wouldn't be keeping busy, or why his friends would be lying? It's possible, of course, he just doesn't want to talk to his supporters any more, or - as he's said before, doesn't know what to say to them, and that they were just making excuses.

I imagine he enjoys his life; he has his family and good friends there, it's summer, he's not far from the beach, his g/f is there, and it's possible he is working too, or studying, or travelling even. I could imagine (with my imagination ) that he keeps himself pretty busy. I think if he were bored he'd be more likely to come online than if he were busy.
well I for one have been pondering what he is doing I never said he wasn't doing anything but that was the point of my post pondering what he is doing in fact he may have a job he may not who knows he may be super busy his mates may be laughingly hinting he isn't busy NOBODY is accusing any one of lying as far as I can see. x

Made the time? Or been invited to go?

I don't see Josie watching it now either. She said it while she was in the throws of this BB and probably realized by talking to the evicted hgs that the show showed so little of what actually happened that she could have been interested in what was shown for BB11. But she does seem busy, happy, and probably (if we know Josie) has forgotten about that proclamation.

John didn't answer fanmail when he was in the UK, so who's to say he's doing it now. It would be nice, especially for people who have supported him post-split and since he's gone, but I don't think either of them have any responsibility to respond to anyone. It's nice that Josie did that and was so personal, but that was because she's her. Neither need or should be expected to respond.

But that's not Josie. Josie lives in the moment. She looks to what's happening next. She's not a dweller or reflecter on things. I think that's due to the hard life and times she had and what has allowed her to continue to be a positive, happy person in spite of her past.
Why is it not Josie? She was on our tv screens for 3 months - imo she tweeted she was going to watch her BB back come December and she will. Yes she's busy but perhaps December is a month when everything calms down a little and maybe she also feels she will be strong enough to watch it. I'm sure she would like to see how she was portrayed in front of thousands of people. Whether its in her nature to do it or not.

I can't picture it myself, it costs a lot of money to send mail from Oz to here (First Class post here in the UK alone is 46p) and it was a long time ago when they were in a different mind-set and different circumstances, supporters/fans were necessary for their 'work' so he/they needed them, he doesn't really need them now. Maybe he'll tweet a thank you for all the letters or something.

In my post I wondered if she would watch it I too think she will forget she said it lol she is prone to forget things The point I was making is that imo it might be good for her to watch herself back whether she will or not remains to be seen.

Why should John or any of his friends tell 'fans' the truth about whats going on over in Oz, even 'fans' they talk to on a regular basis on twitter, 'fans' they go into dm with even . They owe us nothing. No one is accusing anyone of lying. In fact talking of accusing people of lying, if we disbelieve Josie's tweet regarding watching her BB back in December, if we disbelieve this, isn't that paramount to saying she is also lying? Just my thoughts

Josie's life never seems calm. She's happy with being constantly busy. Who knows what she has next to do on her list, but even if she had time, as I said...she's not reflective, she knows people liked her as she won LOL, and she's also stated she hates watching herself on TV.

I think she would enjoy watching it. She was funny, engaging, and I think she would like to see the other housemates and what they did/said that had nothing to do with her.

Yes I know what you are saying Carole and I agree Josie can be forgetful but she is surrounded by people who will remind her of her tweet and I'm sure she will do it, she might not get through it all come Christmas mind lol

No I agree with that. I was asking if anyone recieved a response from him when he was in the UK...just from him. MagStar pointed out he was upset about his mail being moved before he had responded. Josie responded to her letters, and they both sent cards for stuff that was for them together, but I don't remember ever hearing about anyone just getting responses from John.

Oh, me too I was anxious about going to see the 'Jersey Boys' in London in case they ruined his music, but it was one of the best musicals I've ever seen

I think the point was that ... like I do when I've missed something on TV and I say I'll watch it on the iplayer, I rarely do. Josie tweeted it when BB was on and maybe at the time thought she might watch BB11 back at some point in the future, but it doesn't mean that she actually going to do it. Perhaps she will, but I saw it more as a caught up in the BB excitement a few weeks back rather than a committed plan to do so.

She also didn't have Luke living with her then did she? Can you see it now 'hey Luke, wanna watch me trying to dry hump John James last year in BB?'

All I was saying in my post before was that I cannot see her having the time or the inclination now that the flush of the lastest BB has passed, when it might have been on her mind more.

I do agree with Ferfer though, Josie never came across as a reflective kind of person. She must know by now how she came across on BB - she has over 270k twitter followers who must have thought she was okay, and she's also aware of a lot of the criticism she's received since by various means.

Of course, it may well be that she does take some time in December in-between work and her holiday and the Xmas season to sit down and trawl thru 10 weeks of Big Brother episodes ... but I just can't imagine it!

LOL, who is going to remind her? Luke? Aunty Kay? Harry? Jeanette? Amy? Marcus? Jethro? I don't see them pushing her to rewatch.

You said he didn't answer any of it , who's to know? maggi x
To my knowledge John didn't respond to fanmail, except to joint fanmail when Josie was sending stuff out with his.

I could be wrong! But I never saw anyone on Twitter post responses or pics of mail from just him. I did see that from Josie. And I said I would be curious to see if anyone did get a response from just him. I'm not saying he didn't, I'm saying I never saw or heard anyone who received it.

True
Mine has been mega-slow, I'd been blaming all and sundry for our pathetic broadband speeds until I thought about the shoppers

The programmes you miss on your tv screen aren't programmes with you in though Ali, and that is the point I'm trying to make. Josie IS in 3 months worth of BB none of which she has seen other than 'fan' video's. I'm sure even Josie would want to watch these back, that's a lot of tv time that she has missed. And if her and Luke are happy, why should it worry him to sit and watch with her although she has said he works hard 7 days per week in which case Josie would be able to watch on her own, I'm sure she isn't working 7 days a week even though she is busy. And in fact I believe that tweet was made after her appearance in Now mag with Luke - maybe wrong but I think that is the case.

I don't disbelieve Josie's tweet about watching BB. I honestly believe that whilst she was working on BBBOTS she thought she might watch BB11 back, at December probably seemed like a good time to do it. It wouldn't be a lie to not watch it, people tweet their thoughts at that particular moment. First week of BB12 I tweeted that I liked Aden... that didn't last long

I agree, why should John's friends tell anybody anything, or why should John even... don't think we were talking about whether they were obliged to say anything at all about John were we?

I apologise for the word 'lying'... 'suggesting they might be sarcastically bending the truth', there that's more accurate
