Can't wait this year. I have my Beatles Cirque du Soleil bauble from Las Vegas to add and the wooden christmas ornament for the tree from Bruges that Claire and Nick brought back for me

Also my tinsel is threadbare but i dont like the new tinsel and cant find any like mine

Evening Kaye, I'm putting my christmas tree up this weekend, don't usually do it this early,but going to take my time with everything this year instead of the last minute rush to get it all done before the family arrive

Is it just me or is Christmas starting earier and earlier every year ...... three Xmas do's to go to this weekend :yawn:

Can I just say regarding one of the topics of discussion this evening ..... please please please can we just accept that we ALL appreciate Josie on this thread. In fact, all regular posters clearly appreciate them both, BUT, appreciators show that in different ways ..... we do not all have to agree with everything either of them do, we do not have to accept everything we see or read in the media ( we all have seen how the truth is not always what is portrayed). Now I really like and admire Josie for what she has achieved, but don't always agree with what she does ...... same as I do with John. I am like that with all the people I love in my life as they are with me.

My personal thoughts are that we do not need to rush to the thread to defend or support every time a comment is made .... there should not be tit for tat, not a competition for support .... I think it is pretty clear how we all view the more avid and unpleasant tweeters/supporters(?)

I also don't think we need to be 'told off' as we are at regular intervals by several different posters. If we don't agree with something can we not discuss it, just say this is my take ... what do you think?

Anyway, enough of my little rant ..... good evening all, how are we?

tell you a funny story about xmas decorations, ive never flown and have no wish to, but have been to france on day trips 4 times, to euro disney twice and last time went to austria, went into italy ect and we were at saltzberg xmas market, and i sat while gd walked to the top of the castle in sound of music, went round the market thought i must buy something to keep so bought a little xmas tree cost 5 $ which was appox £5 next time went into wilko they exact same for £1.99

what puzzles me is i vote x2 a day every day for both with all her followers im surprized she hasnt got a higher vote and why their is a difference between the 2,

i looked around some other diff ones today and found alison hammond quite like her

I really dont want to prolong this conversation as I think it upsets many of the posters on the thread but My last musing on this is to ask what the difference between you putting Josies tweet in context and the tweets posted today putting Josies tweet in context. As you yourself said context is everything isnt it,so surely we need to see why she is tweeting such a thing. I mean I would hate to say she was right without seeing the actual tweets. After all when my children come home and complain about people at school, i always ask what they had done as well, I dont just blindly condemn.
