He looked like he was concentrating. I think the facial expression could be improved on, but it is last on the list for me.
And no, I agree that you definitely do not gaze into each other's faces in ballroom. Follower should aways be looking upwards and sort of leftwards around the direction where her wristwatch would be (if she were wearing one). True there was some out of hold stuff where they could have gazed into each others' eyes, and so Linda does have a point (although you don't get that in real International Style ballroom, only in American Smooth, and so couldn't rely on that to relay chemistry in a proper ballroom performance. It would have to be done through synchronicity instead.)
I'm not overly keen on Artem's choreography.
