Have we gone 24 hours without a less bash Holly/Artem or Holly and Artem thread. Goodness let's make up for it and start a new one even though your comments could be put on an existing one. But that just wouldn't do.Let's also start one with a title that doesn't make sense.

Hi lateone. You may have looked at any such 'bashing' threads as you call them and you will not have seen a single post from me.

I have posted this thread (with an obvious tongue in cheek humour) because I feel very strongly about it - Holly was way overmarked imho. Simples.

They're all overmarked! On that basis she was in about the right place in the leaderboard when compared to Robbie, Anita etc.

As for your comparison with Miranda Hart - she's only worth about 0.0000000000001 out of ten as a comedienne, so on that basis Holly's dancing should be getting 10s across the board (it won't, quite rightly) but every time we voice an opinion you have to expect that others will dissagree......

Spoiler
I agree, I really enjoyed the dance, and much as I normally want to hear more traditional music, just for once I think it worked
I thought Holly looked fab in the red dress and actually seemed to ooze some sex appeal.
Shame she ended up in the bottom two, not deserved on this occasion IMHO, should have been Robbie, don't rate him at all as a dancer, I'm afraid.

Daisydee, that's a bit of a spoiler you've posted there!

My biggest problem with Holly and Artem (just watched the show as was out last night) was Artem. He looked terrified that he was going to put his back out again. It was very hard to watch.

I did not look at spoiler, but will she go out?

Holly and Artem can dance, but they just lack that chemistry which isnt there

OO-ER muchas apologies - how easily it is done.
I'm normally on the spoiler thread Saturday night, but didn't look until this morning, so got a bit disorientated.
They say a little knowledge is dangerous.........
So sorry if I spoilt the results for anyone - cream cakes all round.

I love Holly and Artem and she looked amazing in her red dress. She certainly did not deserve to be in the bottom two - Robbie Savage should have gone and Anita should have been saved. I don't understand why there is such dislike for H and A - I think she is a very good dancer and isn't it a competition to judge the celebrity. The Pro's are doing a job and not dancing in a competition and should not be subjected to being "judged" by Judges who cannot dance to their high standard- the celebs are in a sort of competition. I personally cannot stand that silly Chelsee - there is something lacking in her dancing - technically there but there is no personality and she sounds like a cartoon Blackpool landlady.

Yes, the public are so knowledgeable that they put Robbie through on that dire samba.

And just so you get your facts right, Len gave Holly exactly the same mark as Craig.

I think the music and choreography were just too way out for mainstream viewers, who prefer something more traditional.

I love Artems choreography normally but do not think he has done Holly any favours.

I SO agree with you about Chelsee. A perfect description. But I didn't say it because there are one or two rather sanctimonious people on here who keep having a go!

Didn't work for me, the awful music was too distracting, it didn't go with their dance at all. It would even have been better dancing to no music, as all it did was detract from their performance.

As I expected, the foxtrot was Holly’s best dance. She was elegance personified, holding herself beautifully, and with that fabulous dress and hairdo that made her look like a President’s wife – even when she was just standing and talking. What a pity she was only allowed to do about 8 bars of the foxtrot, and then had to do that ridiculous posturing, kicking and messing about. And that hideous screechy music made things even worse.

If she had been able to do the dance with Brendan, with his choreography and choice of music, I think they would have been even better than he was with Lisa Snowdon.

So often the celeb suffers because of failings by the professional, in choreography and choice of music. But the show is supposed to be about the celebs, so the judges mark them down, even though they must know who is really to blame.

It is ridiculous to judge individuals in a ballroom competition. You have to think in terms of couples, which is how real competitions are run.

I think that must qualify as the understatement of the year. For "way out" I would put "ghastly"

And for "way out" I would put innovative, daring and inspirational. Artem's choreography has been the one high point of this series for me, his Swan Lake AS has been the only wow dance of the whole series.

Says you, who has had several nasty posts deleted by the mods ! They were not being sanctimonious, just being supportive of Strictly whilst you're so continuously negative about it, and of people taking part.
