This guy has a serious problem he is just so annoying every week hes the same moody sod. Please someone give him his P45.

I hate it when he turns to Craig and gives him long filthy looks.....wish he would go back to sitting beside Bruno, save Alesha getting grabbed (for demonstration purposes only!) by him.

Len's been fine tonight. I have agreed with most of what he's said.

Me too, he was actually pretty sane tonight, he massively overmarked, but they all do that.

Every time Craig says something Len has a face on, it's so boring.

Len is a miserable old fart and he hates Craig because Craig is honest and he talks sense - and most of us love him for it - especially those of us who know about dance.

Len still thinks gauchos dance tango in the backstreets of BA. I guess he's never heard of the pampas. He's out of touch.

Ballroom is a very narrow world, and Len's still circa 1957 back streets of Penge Sequinworld. Time he was replaced by a modern ballroom person with international experience.

Replace him with Karen Hardy.... NOW!

Agree. Its not a contest to see which judge should be ditched, they are all there on merit even Alisha. And I LOVE Craig

SK, I think they would still have the same issues as Len with the content of the ballroom dances. The ballroom dancers I know (who are young and dance internationally) cannot bear to watch Strictly.
But I agree with your comments on his view of the AT.
Nevertheless I don't understand why this thread has sprung up today. There wasn't anything particularly controversial that Len said tonight. I agreed with him on Artem and Holly's ballroom which was the only ballroom he had a real issue with. And I thought Chelsee and Pasha's dance was a bit passionless (and agreed with Craig about the lack of A shape).

Well, tradition seems to have it that there has to be at least one Len must go thread each week.

But I do agree with your comments there.

I know what you mean VL. The choreography has been pretty poor this season, and there are times when I have agreed with him, but this year he has been very grouchy, short tempered and even rude. He's bordering on petulant which tells me he's losing interest in the whole thing and is bored by his role.

Criticism is fine but he has over stepped the mark to many times. I'd love to see a European dancer on the show but it's never going to happen.

Sadly, judging by her 'appearances' on ITT I don't think Karen Hardy has the attitude, vocabulary or sense of audience required to be a judge. She had a tendency to patronise her audience and is too self absorbed to be entertaining.

She may have been a good dancer in her time (apart from her gurning) but she is not the sharpest tool in the box.

Len is a fool to himself, if the BBC get tired of his antics, the US show is cancelled, or the BBC show moves in a new direction, he'll be out of a job and won't earn anything like the money elsewhere.

That's what "unearned fame" does for you, he's nothing special, he just struck lucky.

You must be a Chelsee/Pasha fan then?

Len is working double time - I guess he's just getting jet lagged.

Me too.

If the judges on SCD weren't doing what the producers wanted, I think they would have had a word by now.

They all have their roles to play and apart from Craig who might have the odd blip, they all over-mark.

Craig - uber critical judge but not as quite hard as he used to be.

Len - fan of traditional dancing & grumpy old git judge.

Alesha - pleasing soundbites & platitudes judge..

Bruno - crazy & a bit saucy judge.

Len went a bit far a couple of weeks ago but I must admit I've forgotten it now. I like him and there was nothing wrong with anything he said tonight. I like all the judges actually.

Do NOT replace Len with mad Karen, it will be like playing musical chairs in the chronic ward. Just play him his Mantovani as loud as possible and make sure he takes his nightly jollop.

I'm not a fan of any. In fact I've said elsewhere tonight Chelsee and her remarks are beginning to irritate a bit.

I've never voted, but have watched most episodes of every series. I just see it as an entertainment show.
I really don't mind who wins.

I call it as I see it.
Len has become a right miserable sod, full of his own importance.

Russia and the UK aren't Europe?

Alesha stopped bothering me for a while, but her comments are becoming increasingly banal. Everything's a "good effort" or a "good job".

I realised I like and value Len more than I thought I did when he was absent for a week. And I agreed with everything he said tonight - Anita's legs were too bent, Chelsee needs to utilise her acting skills, Artem's choice of music was odd (although it worked better than I expected), Alex's Charleston needed polish, Robbie's gimmicky moves are annoying now etc

I like him, Craig and Bruno. I've never felt the need to side with one or the other. They each contribute something.

No disrespect, but you could "value" the same comments from another judge with as much experience as Len, they must be "10 a penny" compared to the sum he's he's paid, but who didn't feel the need to be as rude and self-opinionated as is he.

I don't find him rude though. I like Len and the dynamic between him and Craig.

Darling!

What have you been up to lately or is it best not to ask?

I agree about Alesha.

Alesha is good for SCD in the wrong role. No, I don't want Arlene back. I supported her on a matter of principal. She shrieked far too much. Bruno has now taken over her role. Yes, he's a multi-letch!! ,

Since Alesha joined the judges comments have been dumbed down like a lot of things on SCD. She has nothing very constructive to say. It's mainly pleasing soundbites and platitudes.

If Len left I dread to think who they would get to replace him.
