I'm heartily sick of him and his antics... time he went. I'm no dancer, so am probably way off with this next bit but was that a samba? did he deserve those marks? He was stamping about as if he was trying to put out a fire and as for Ola (usually my favourite dancer) all she was lacking was the pole.

To be honest, I'd like to see Ola with a front runner to see what she can do. Every series she's had to choreograph to cover up weaknesses instead of letting herself go.

I thought Robbie's Samba (up to the trouser rip ) was much better than last week's supposed Salsa - at least I recognised it as a samba of sorts. But he is a ballroom boy and if he gets through I hope he goes back to ballroom next week.

for me I hope he stays and does a good ballroom next week I think he has been unlucky in the dance draw with the salso followed by the samba neither of which are his forte

I hope he goes, mainly for his reaction on Twitter, he goes off the deep end when gets a 6, imagine if he was eliminated! He'd be suicidal.

I think it's wrong to suggest that Robbie was using his Dad to get votes.
It wasn't his Dad that was the main focus of the VT it was his Mum. You only caught a glimpse of his Dad. Yes Robbie may be the weakest dancer left and by his own admissions he says so but he is certainly more entertaining than Anita!

Harsh comments re. the VT - it focussed on his mum.

I think that Robbie had potential, but Ola has chosen to focus on putting too many gimmicks into their latin routines. Hopefully he can stay in and get a ballroom dance next week, to remind us of what he is capable of.

I think that the public may well keep him in longer than Holly.

Can't stand him and all of his dances are now blurring for me into an amorphous bleurrgh of thrusts and wiggles and knee-slides and marching around to the audience. But what I will say is, he at least brings an energy to what he does on the dance floor which Holly so frustratingly lacks.

His appeal is beyond me. He cannot dance very well at all, but is not amusing or sexy or interesting any of which might compensate.

At least Gavin Henson is vaguely attractive. I find nothing good looking about Robbie but I doubt he minds, he fancies himself enough for everyone!

This is exactly what I feel. His dancing, if anything has deteriorated. Beauty, I know, is in the eye of the beholder but I don't find him amusing, attractive or sexy. I can't abide vain men and anyone with hair and teeth like that must be vain.

I have a strange feeling he is gonna take out one of the top 3 before he goes

The thing I find hard to understand is how upset he gets with harsh comments from the judges. He started his football career at Man United, how did he survive playing under Sir Alex? Even the youth team coach Eric Harrison was apparently a really hard task master. I would imagine Nigel Clough, Paul Jewell and Martin O'Neill are no slouches either.

It would appear that he has a very strong fan base and I agree with you that unfortunately he will stay in while stronger dancers go. What a shame that will be.

He's looking nailed on for the semi-final at least. But it's unusual for all the best dancers still to be in at this stage. This has been a pretty shock-free series.

People like to see someone with the reputation of a hard man embrace their inner lovey and look vulnerable.

Personally, I like the good dancers. But I don't see what's wrong with people who enjoy the show because it shows them a different side to celebrities' personalities. If people enjoy going 'awww' because a supposedly hard footballer sheds a tear when people vote for him and that brightens up their Saturday night, then good on 'em.

The primary purpose of Strictly is to make people smile and feel happy on a Saturday night. If Robbie Savage is getting lots of votes then he's making lots of people smile and feel happy. So good on him, too.

Robbie gets on my t*ts but I have just seen him on News 24, in tears, about the death of a good friend of his, Wales manager, Gary Speed, who has taken his own life, only 42, left a wife and 2 kids. Such tragic news and I am sure Robbie won't be his usually bubbly self tonight, understandably.

You do know the Sunday show is recorded Sat night don't you?

Anyway, yes I watched that. How incredibly sad for Robbie

Oh yes, sorry forgot about.

People keep tweeting about he was happy, they saw him on telly recently, even friends were saying they thought he was fine.

Depression is such an awful secret thing to live with, you can put a pretty good front on it, to think that he was that bad that the only way out for him was to take his own life, I find that incredibly sad, and I really feel for his family.

This is where the pretence of the Sunday show is highlighted for me. When current events after Saturday could have an impact on the pretence of the show being on Sunday. Robbie is devastated and yet there he is looking happy on 'Sunday'.
I wonder if the BBC will put out a announcement about it being recorded yesterday.

Dancewise his time is def up and he had a decent run as well.

I wonder if we'll see the same Robbie now that a close friend of his has died.
Because the death is such public news I doubt we'll see Robbie anywhere near as happy on the show anymore if he does continue to stay in it longer. I almost wonder if he'll even pull out (as I'm not sure how close he was to Gary).

They were good friends, Gary came to Strictly about 3 weeks back, with his wife, to support Robbie. And they were on the phone last night joking and laughing about Strictly.

He is a way better dancer than Gavin. Last year there were only 4 really great dancers, a few pretty good ones and some bad ones. Gav was in the latter.

He was obviously popular because of his looks/ humour. That's what all the people who voted for him said. Some bad dancers get votes, some don't. John Sargeant would have probably made the final if he didn't quit

Robbie isn't the best dancer, but is obviously liked. If Gav and Roger Black can get 5th place so can he

I couldn't stand Robbie before SCD, but feel he is a very different person to how he was previously.. Once you strip away all the fancy footballer rubbish, I think he is a genuinely nice guy. He clearly loves the dancing and has totally bought into the ethos of the show. I don't care that he's not the best dancer, he is funny, likeable and a great sport. kudos to the Savage, he has been the celebrity who most surprised me.
