Simply, the best is the only way I can describe his performance of Stevie Wonder's lately.

The second part of that song was fantastic.

I agree, he was wonderful - definitely the performance of the night for me.

I have to admit he really wasn't very good tonight. His pitch was all over the place and he looked very uncomfortable.

This (and I say this as a massive fan) Stunning 2nd half but the 1st half was pitchy. I think he struggles with his lower register (just look at russian roulette).

Shaky start, I was concerned at first but he got into his stride and it was nicely finished. He should go through easily.

I didn't like his 2nd song thought it was out of tune.

Personally, i thought it exposed his limited vocal range.

Loved it! the first bit was a little nervous but once he got into it he was great. And I am not ashamed to say I'm biased, he is my favourite.

It started a bit iffy, nerves I think, but the rest of it oh my, oh my, absolutely brilliant.
I love Stevie Wonder and there are so very very few covers of his songs that I can say that I even liked, but this was outstanding, loved it.

Youve never liked him, nice try.

I thought it was very average to be honest. It didn't sound very good in the lower key at all and Marcus struggled badly for two thirds of the song. With a song like Lately you can't really change the key. It just doesn't work.

Yeah. Let's ban opinions on the internet whilst we're at it, right...

China in Your Hands was the perfomance of the night by Amelia with Marcus second.

As someone who thinks Marcus should win I can admit that the first half of the song had a lot of flat notes. He slightly recovered it in the second half, but imo the performance showed his limitations, he really shouldn't do any more slow songs.

Vocal review from the expert (my sis not me). The first part was pitched slightly to low for his range, this caused him to get a 'frog in the throat' moment on the word 'yet'. Apparently it's one of those times when you need to clear your throat with a cough or something, but you can't in mid song. This caused quite a few pitch problems. Throwing in the word baby was probably an attempt to clear it because a strong 'b' sound can help clear the problem. He finally cleared it on the second of the long 'to' notes and his voice picked up from there.

Makes no sense to me but she's the expert

He was best of a bad bunch. The entire show was weak.
