I don't really either. I think her dances are extremely good on a technical level but they're kind of "sterile", I feel. She's very bouncy and full of energy but I find that she doesn't convey anything in particular about the emotion or nature of the dance she's performing.

I have to admit that I don't know much about her acting roles so far but she gives the impression of having a limited range in terms of the roles she could portray convincingly.

Wit is one thing. Fronting up and being honest in your response to a person is another. Be bigger than this.

The daft thing was, the whole dispute was between people supporting the same bloody couple.”

I was a bit irritated by Chelsee's faffing and whinging about the character of the Argentine Tango. Someone on here posits that had she acted slutty she would have have put people off, and since she wasn't slutty she also put people off (also, mind, referencing her large breasts, which I suppose is in no way rude or untoward, although they have sod all to do with the dance or character of said dance). This puts forth the false dichotomy that those were her only two choices, which is patently erroneous.

So I roll my eyes and throw out an acronym (which seems to be neither banned nor censored around here, at least for the moment). And then I am roundly lectured on the appropriate manners to be employed on a public message board, for responding to someone who "didn't quote me," and cursing. It is very silly, and I responded in kind. I actually meant no offense by anything I said, but suppose offense can be found just about anywhere.

And I still stand by my assertion that she could have easily acted her way through a one minute thirty second dance without being slutty.

Must say I've never known 'FFS' being frowned upon or maybe just never noticed

The complainers do come across as a bit twee to be fair.

I really like Chelsee and I think I was initially slightly disappointed in her acting of the AT because I think she gave better "intensity" in the tango and the foxtrot. Also the VT was entirely based around Chelsee finding it hard to get into character so it seemed as though she couldn't leave her worries behind when she got onto the dancefloor, which seemed surprising for someone who makes their career pretending to feel things they actually don't (i.e. acting). Looking back at it though, this routine was far more complicated in terms of footwork than either of the previous dances I mentioned and it's the first time she's had to try to direct her intensity at Pasha (for both the tango and the foxtrot obviously the majority of the time she was looking away from him). I do still think she could have acted the dance better but in fairness to her, for a first go at a difficult routine, whose character she found pretty alien and hard to get into, she did really well. I'd love to see her do that routine again with a bit more confidence because even with the slight lack of intensity I really enjoyed the dance.

I'm still inclined to think it would be sensible for Pasha to skip the rumba if he can though, just because it seems likely that Chelsee will find the character of other dances easier to get into. Either that or choreograph it in a way that means she can take an attitude closer to that she used in the foxtrot than the one she needed for the AT. (In Strictly terms I'm thinking of something closer to Cherie and James' rumba than to Rachel and Vincent's.)

I thought the choreography [Eiffel Tower behind neon doorway] was suggesting Paris hooker doing the business with client, which made the lack of emotional connection 'ok' - this was all mechanical sleaze with no real feeling. Maybe I am crediting Pasha with too much cleverness in choreographing for his celeb's deficits!”

I thought this - hanging around in a doorway, pulling a filthy smile, "dancing", then walking off at the end behind the door? Definite prostitution angle to the choreography.

I thought the "acting" in the strictly sense of "pulling faces" was fine so far as her face went - her body just couldn't produce, because she's floppy and undisciplined and IMO is mostly just trying to get from A to B without giving huge thought to precise technique.

I think Chelsee was supposed to close the door behind her but she started giggling (and ruined it).

She needs to be more focused and wear proper dance shoes in practice (and not her socks as we often see on ITT) to improve.

I really enjoyed Pasha and Chelsee's AT I thaught she coped very well with some very difficult moves; her footwork was great; her only problem seemed to be her frame she should have leaned more towards Pasha on top imo.

Thanks for this Ferfichkin. I honestly don't mind swearing, or the original exchange really - tho it was daft that it became grumpy between you. For what it's worth i agree with some at least of what you said.

I stuck my oar in because I thought you replied to Buddy in a dismissive way. As a reader (for the most part) on the non app thread, I know there's a lot of witty shorthand that's developed there. It's good stuff. Just occasionally I feel that it's used against posters in a way that is high-handed and unfair. The pearl clutching parody was one of those. Buddy was being plain with you and she got laughed at in return, with the support of the clever gang implicitly behind it. So I got grumpy with you, which was probably also daft. Water under the bridge.

It might be fluffy but I like people to treat each other with respect. I'll shurrup now

But I didn't disagree with you and my response was not directed at you. I'm a bit at a loss why you can't see that. Just look at any of trunkster's posts and you see where I am coming from (e.g. he even thought that she wanted to get rid of people with her boobies, when she never said that). Your FFS was just out of proportion IMO, when in fact I was not directing my reply to you.

I think she could have done better, but I also see that a lot of people find fault with her for no other reason than her large breasts.

And to clarify again, I already said it wasn't her best dance. I still maintain that people should be polite to other forum users. It's actually one of the forum rules. This forum used to be polite, it's no good disguising insults with witty remarks. If you had stated you disagreed with me, then we could have a civil discussion. Why antagonise users when you are relatively new?
