Hitting a high note is not the sign of a great singer, it's just where your vocal range is. I think her range is limited. Great singers can make every note clear, the lower register is actually more difficult to master, to get volume and texture, higher notes are difficult to do gently or melodically, shouting is what inexperienced singers do. I think if she had proper coaching with tone and work on the lower register, she would improve.
