I think she'll be happy to get as far as she has.

I also think she'll be signed up quick and will be able to work on music that suits her style, rather than all this forced themed-stuff that they have to do each week.

I agree. She looked to me like she'd had enough.

I agree. She does not fit the X Factor and would be much better off being signed by a more credible label.

Same applies to Misha really.

The other 3 are all poppy and mainstream enough for Syco.

I imagine she herself expects to go tonight and will be very surprised if she doesn't.

I hope she stays though.

Well apart from the really rabid Janet fans. Me, I love her style but its time for her to go.

If her level of support is anything like as rabid and one eyed as it is on here, she ain't going anywhere.

By last night's reckoning having the screaming trots on stage would propel her to a win!

To be honest I hope she wins, then we will never hear from her again

I don't particularly like Janet's voice, though I recognize she has a unique quirky style.

But throughout x factor she has been stylised beyond belief into something she's not, choregraphed into movements she is clearly not comfortable with, and has sung songs that for the most part she would never sing through choice.

She entered the x factor for an opportunity. The judges recognized her talent, then proceeded to totally ignore it.

She looked as though she had had enough last night, and just wants out of it and its was pretty uncomfortable to watch

Janet has her own quirky style. It's not to my taste and I find her voice irritating but I know a lot of people do like her.

I hope she goes tonight as I don't feel that XF has done her any favours - she seems to be getting worse rather than better. It's given her a platform and a fanbase but she really doesn't look very happy about the direction the XF machine is pushing her.

I completely agree and would go as far as saying she would almost be happy to leave. At the end of the day the XF is an extremely mainstream show and Janet is obviously not a mainstream artist, nor does she want to be. She seems to have been fighting them from turning her into something she's not from the beginning of the live shows and it's making her come across as difficult. I think Janet should have waited and tried out for The Voice where (judging by the American Version) she would have been able to develop and grow on her terms. I'm not a fan of Janet, but I can appreciate that she is talented and has potential, I just don't think XF was the right show for her.

As a Janet fan, I'm torn. On the one hand, I need Janet to stay in the competition because I need her to have a record contract at the other end because I need an album off her. However, I can't watch another show like last night's next week. It was horrible to watch, it was a massacre. If she had one saving grace, it's that all the others were complete garbage as well.

All in all though, the recording contract is most important to me, so I'm voting for her as much as my money will allow.

I'm sure Janet will be relieved and more than happy to go tonight. She knows that the show has done her no favors and although it's very unlikely, she might leave anyway, regardless if her fans vote her through or not.

Many contestants who have never won the show get recording contracts, doesn't matter where they end up on the show.

Janet will get an offer I'm sure, it's just that Syco is not the label for her.

She's my favourite but I don't want her to win. I think a lot of the time you're better off not winning. If you win you're also forever attached to the label of 'XFactor Winner'. She's that type of artist that she shouldn't win for her own good.

I don't think she is an "artist" at all. She is an okay singer who can hold certain tunes that's all. No big deal

Agree. In fact I have a half suspicion she has engineered things, with her fluffing of the first song to go. Think she is a much smarter cookie than comes over. Out now, record deal already ready and offered for all we know. Plenty of publicity, perhaps a bit of poor Janet and a chance for an early record out just like Cher Lloyd.

The thing I like about Janet is that she's not prepared to become a puppet like the other contestants have become.

I have much more respect for an artist who sticks to what they want to do rather than getting caught up in the all the hype and the bulls**t as all the other contestants have and becoming something that they're not.

If she can't even be bothered to learn the lyrics to songs then I don't think she'll be too bothered about leaving.

In fact it would be cruel to vote for Janet and put her through another week of misery.

I agree with all of this.

The key is getting her to the final, rather than winning specifically. An XFactor final for her, with her talent and style, will almost certainly lead to a recording contract (hopefully not with Syco!).

That said, if she made the final, I'd still vote for her, because I have loved listening to her, I think she deserves it and she is just better than the others.

If you really loved her, you'd save your money and let her go tonight. Do you really want to see a 17 year old girl have another night of misery next week?

Would you describe Cher Llloyd as an artist?

I agree. I dont think she wants to be there at all. She is not enjoying it.

Technically she is because she has a number 1 and an Album in the top 10.

I think the only act remaining who would benefit from winning and getting a SyCo contract is Little Mix. So, even though I like and vote for Janet, I never really wanted her to win. And if she is next to go, then I guess it's not that much of a big deal for me.

Totally agree. Sounds odd but Janet is actually too good and too independent for X Factor. She refuses to be cast in the mould of pop star and when they make her do ridiculous songs, (eg MJ Want You Back) she is rubbish because it's not who she is. Can't wait for her first album.
