I was going to say that.

I used to watch it but stopped because it was so naff.

Agree.

I think The Voice will provide a fresher take on things, X Factor is dying a slow death atm.

Also wanted to add the result show is what people tune in for now with the X factor not the Saturday performance show.

I've stopped watching for the simple reason I don't care about any of the contestants. If just one of them captured my interest then I perhaps would have stuck it out, but frankly none of them do anything for me. This has nothing to do with the judges and everything to do with the individuals singing to them.

Even the Syco employees can't be arsed to try and put a spin on this series' appalling viewing figures anymore.

The supposed judges on The Voice are a bit naff though...http://tellymix.co.uk/reality-tv/the...-voice-uk.html

The ones in the American version were great compared to them except for Will Young, I also wish they had stuck to Lenny Kravitz and also got Kylie.

Am I am not surprised as it is the worst X Factor I have seen, and I have watched everyone from the day it started.

I think that people are just getting bored with it now. When it was new it was exciting - People know its all edited, the judges brain wash us all into who we should vote for, the silly VTs make you want to be sick.

The dancing show on bbc seems to be judged more fairly without all the silly arguments between the judges. The foremat seems to work better.

Lack of decent talent, tiresome comments and arguments by the judges plus the feeling it's all a bit fixed have all contributed to the drop in audience. When you have some in the semi who had already been knocked out plus another 3 times in the bottom 3 yet still in it isn't going to help.

With Sky+ now, there's really no need for this ratings war. The majority of houses have some sort of recording software so can watch both shows. We usually sit down to watch Strictly about 8pm and move onto X Factor about 9:30pm followed by The Xtra Factor at 11pm. I don't watch either of the shows live but I still enjoy them just as much.

I watch Merlin live and watch my recording of TXF later on.

I think people are just getting bored of the manipulation, the sob stories, fake feuds between judges, certain acts given pimp slots each week when others always sing early - and the sing off!

Strictly by contrast is very straightforward - the judges vote, the public vote and whoever comes last in the combined vote goes. None of this we don't like the decision - so we overturn it via a sing off! Its just a nicer and more pleasant show.

You don't get any of the nastiness and unpleasantness either on the SCD forum that you get on here - no fixing, no producer manipulation and a lot less nastiness.

It is how X factor used to be - apart from Sharon O's outbursts of course!

Strictly is down from last year as well, just not as much as X Factor.

Watching Bullys, racists, muggers, spoilt brats and incompetent judges is better.

When you lose 3 popular judges, the viewers don't feel that familiarity with the show anymore.

I know one reason why I tuned out and it's because I loved Dannii as a judge, and even though Simon and Cheryl did my head in...I kind of miss em too.

The judges as a 4sem had spark and made the show interesting.

You now have Tulisa ( yes she is hot, but who is she?), Kelly just has her head far up her behind and worst of all you have Gary who is trying to be like Simon and is just an utter embarrassment.

and Louis just doesn't shine anymore without Dannii and Simon.

All well.

This is partly because a lot more people are watching on ITV HD... those figures are just for ITV1.

Besides, tv viewing is normally counted in the 10,000s, or at prime time the 100,000s, X-Factor is in no danger of being axed!!!

But, assuming you aren't daft enough to watch the ads, it's ITV that's taking the hit here.
